First week of school: DONE ✅ How was your first week back? Some McWhirter Elementary Astronauts shared their favorite moments. 🚀✨ We’re wishing all CCISD students, faculty, and staff a wonderful new school year! We hope it’s the best one yet. 💙

End the summer with a movie in the park! 🎥 The City will be showing ‘Lilo & Stitch’ at Texas Avenue Park on Friday, August 21. This event is free for the community, but please bring your blankets and lawn chairs. Food vendors will also be available on site. 🍿

Webster City Offices will close at 12:30 P.M. on Thursday, July 2, and will remain closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day. Offices will reopen on Monday, July 6. Republic Services will run as normally scheduled. 🇺🇸

It’s Friday, and some of our Public Works crews are showing off their soccer spirit. ⚽ ¡Felicidades, México! 🇲🇽 The City would like to congratulate México for the win against South Korea last night. We’re also wishing Team USA good luck in tonight’s game against Australia! 🇺🇸

You may notice stronger crude oil odors near the ExxonMobil Webster Terminal over the next months due to the delivery of a different type of crude. This is not a cause for alarm—ExxonMobil coordinated with the City in advance and has enhanced air monitoring at the facility.

The City’s Fourth of July Celebration will take place on Sat., July 4, at Texas Avenue Park. Gates will open at 5 PM, with all attractions available, including moonwalks, a rock wall, petting zoo, foam party, and a cornhole tournament! Schedule of events is listed below. 🎉

The City’s summer camp is beating the heat at the Clear Lake City Community Association’s pool. 🤽 As the first session wraps up, we want to say thank you to the Rec. Division, camp counselors, and parents for making it a fun experience for the kids. See you in session two! ✌️

Welcome to Webster, Sprouts Farmers Market! This morning, Sprouts celebrated its grand opening with Mayor Jasso and Store Manager Adam Berry cutting the ribbon to officially open its doors to the community. 🛒

This week, the City participated in the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce’s May Luncheon. Economic Development Director Betsy Guisto provided a brief overview of Flyway and introduced guest speakers from Venu, who shared an update on the Venu Sunset Amphitheater at Flyway.

Webster Office of Emergency Management is proud to announce the annual Hurricane Preparedness & Safety Fair in collaboration with League City, Dickinson, Kemah, & Galveston County. ⛈️ The fair will take place on June 20th from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the League City Civic Center.
