that thing you wanted to, stop making excuses and do it. No matter how small, take a step towards it. Even a millimeter is still forward progress.

Interesting they have to specify it as "public" information.... so you're saying they just made sure its all behind top secret and classified labeling. xD
U.S. intelligence reports have found no credible public evidence that the CIA has been involved in systematically rigging or altering any American domestic election.

Dear Lord Above - here we go again.... Hello Congresswoman..... Sounds like you got this weeks talking points about vanity projects, yada yada yada.... We've already corrected you colleague. Now its your turn it looks like... The National Mall including the Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool is managed by the National Park Service. This restoration project is exactly the type of project the Great America Outdoors Act and Legacy Restoration Fund was created to address - maintenance backlogs. Once again, Congress overwhelmingly voted for it, Democrats and Republicans alike. We supported it because the oil and gas royalties we pay are directed into both of these funds. Not entrance fees. Oil and gas royalties from federal lands. Once again, the upgrade to the National Mall is brought to you by your friends in the US Oil & Gas Association. And finally, again -- here is a report from the Congressional Research Service. Have you staff read it and tell you what it says.... congress.gov/crs-product/IF…
ICYMI: Trump is using money from National Park entrances for his vanity projects in DC. Instead of repairs and investments at some of our nation's treasures, we're getting tacky "beautification" projects being handed out in overpaid, no-bid contracts. washingtonpost.com/climate-e…

50 year morgages... "portable" morgages... how does not one else see this as banks saying "too many people are renting and we want out interest money! 50 year mortgage is obvious, but portable mortgages only does one thing: banks try to equalize the mortgages vs renter ratio

“let’s get on a quick call” why. why must we get on a call to discuss something that can be resolved on text with 4 extra brain cells and 2 more sentences of effort. absolutely torturous habit of people requesting calls for everything. 😤🚩

I lowered CNC prices a bit (more capacity is coming online this week). I still have a ways to go to beat offshore in qty 1-5. 10 units or more we’re doing pretty good. Beating lead time too

We are in a period of great conflicts and disruptive changes that are important to understand well. Look at the news and the changes happening in front of your eyes.  It should be clear that the monetary order, the domestic political order, and the international geopolitical order are all breaking down and that we are on the brink of big disruptive changes. I urge you to understand what to expect by understanding how these things happen.  If you haven't seen my free 30-minute animation, “Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order” (or this shorter 4-minute version), I recommend that you watch at least one of them to understand the timeless and universal cause-effect relationships behind these changes. Or, if you want a deeper understanding, you can read my book of the same title.

Just pushed a huge update of products to my store this week. Most are made to order so require you want to be in line early as for example the Fate's End dice tankards are a day each to produce and machine time is the limiting factor for production until can get another in.

Something for you 3D printing nerds to think about this weekend. When I started in information security 27 years ago, the biggest challenge was user education. Decades later, that challenge still remains — and in some spaces, it’s even more pronounced. Take 3D printing, for example. These machines aren’t just hobbyist tools anymore — they’re connected devices with moving parts and high-temperature heating elements, capable of real physical damage. Yet most are left completely unsecured, sitting on internal networks without proper authentication or isolation. Any time I bring up the importance of securing every device on a local network — especially ones with physical capabilities — the responses are often the same as they were 20 years ago: dismissive and uninformed. It’s frustrating, especially when you understand how internal threats pose the greatest risk to any networked environment. There’s a reason critical infrastructure is compartmentalized — it’s not just about keeping outsiders out, it’s about limiting internal blast radius. Submarines have always been a great analogy — any single leak shouldn’t sink the whole ship. Secure every device properly. Last year, one evening, I wrote a simple tool that scans local networks for Klipper-based 3D printers, cancels active prints, and homes the machines. I never released it — it was more of a fun exercise (I miss coding) and a way to illustrate the real-world implications of these vulnerabilities. With over two decades in information security — including many years where my specialization was working directly with banks and governments as a professional hacker — I’ve demonstrated how overlooked risks can lead to serious consequences. Some of my work even landed on the front page of news sites around the world. 😅 Coding and hacking were my entire life before I retired into the ranch and 3D printing, so I have a DEEP passion for it - I have such an addictive personality, that I know that if I put my infosec / coding hat back on, I fear I'll fall right back into those 48 hour coding sessions. I would so much prefer, and I’m still hopeful that awareness and education will help the 3D printing space mature when it comes to security. But if history is any guide… I’m not holding my breath... or, maybe we ultimately have to start a detailed conversation on information security best practices and demonstrate what’s possible when security is ignored? I've already written up a detailed assessment with recommendations (yup, after all these years, still hate writing them), and I did send an earlier version of it to a couple of companies in our space some time ago - we'll know over the next couple of months if this has had any impact. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
