If bitcoin goes into a bear, it would be a good thing for alts to genuinely reprice exceptionally lower. People want upside and speculative pricing to make money, yet think they can capture that buying L1's nobody uses launching at $2bn mcap having raised 9 figures
Charts like this are common and honestly needs to change, nothing against Plasma - sad part is it is actually good and fits a very real usecase for crypto, yet nobody here cares when they just lose money on it
Half the reason alts didn't 'run' this cycle is that we had infinite numbers of them being spawned, but equally - the good stuff barely gave upside either
There is and always be opportunities in crypto, but we need to fix this. It can't be either you punt on a bundled launch that tops at $1m, or you try to trade the chart of something being held up by MM and supply concentration to a hugely bloated valuation
If there is to be speculative opportunity in crypto moving forward, we need to genuinely cleanse the alt space and rebuild it from the ground up
You might believe crypto as a whole is undervalued, I think it could be, but 90% of the projects that make it up are not and to rebalance that takes a lot of pain

Man being unbothered is such a cheat code
Life is so easy when you just decide not to care about things you can't change

it is fascinating why holders of a 3T asset are this worried about a 3B asset, and not any other coin, dont you think?
if zcash feels coordinated to you, that's because it is
it's coordinated organically by people on this app waking up to the fact that we've all slept on privacy and have played too cozy with institutions
it is coordinated by people who remember what the mission was
turns out that privacy is something that anyone from any ecosystem can rally behind without requiring any payment, any DM, or any TG message
the perfect coordination mechanism
it is why some of us even entered crypto in the first place
we can debate things like hash distribution, exchange listings, or whether optional privacy is good enough etc, as adults who care about crypto
but if you're auto-dismissing any coin that's not BTC as a pump, yet alone one that's designed with satoshi/finney's ideals in mind, you've lost the plot
there is no coin that would be more retarded to "coordinated pump" than this, it is the most non-sensical shit I've ever seen
i) it would be trivial given my position to launch any coin on solana to make quick money or even to raise for a new chain, it would be tons of money instantly with none of the hassle
clearly this isn't just about the money
ii) yet alone, buying a coin where one has no edge, where there are no colossal VCs or Blackrocks of the world with huge supply, where it has been PoW distributed for 8 years with all holders down tremendously, where the only way to buy is on the open market with shit liquidity because of how everyone called it dead
iii) importantly, loudly promoting private tech when you have a following is literally dangerous and can get you in a lot of trouble. there are people in literal jail for writing code for this shit this
this is a time where institutions are structurally sidelined and legally barred, where distribution is fair, and the mission is civilizational
it is one of the only times where the individual has the leverage
and this is not strictly about Zcash either, builders in all ecosystems are using the renewed interest in privacy to push forward harder systems and recruit better talent
we will make privacy great again

the shielded pool on zcash is literally vertical
the privacy properties are improving in real time
speculation turning into stronger privacy properties in a reflexive loop is one of the most incredible things I've seen in crypto

I think the whole BTC treasury company ponzi has barely begun
When crypto went wild in 2017 it was all you saw everywhere
Kinda wanna see the same fervor just on the institutional side before I get bearish and we're not even close to that yet IMO

Doomer culture is the most dangerous movement I've witnessed
A lot of you aren't trying to make the world a better place and instead just think about yourself justifying it with "it's all shit anyways"
Miserable lifestyle, I wouldn't wanna be like that but you do you

Want incredible success? Expect to work hard and hope to get a little bit lucky. Or don't work hard, and hope for the next Mega-Millions jackpot.
-- I don't work hard = 100% luck needed.
-- I work somewhat hard = 50% luck needed.
-- I work incredibly hard = 10% luck needed.
The amount of effort you put into the *right* system will determine how much luck you need.
PS: The *right* system is not an expensive philosophy degree from some liberal arts college.

Trading should be boring.
You should know what you're looking for, how to execute the idea, and how to manage it.
The majority of the time is spent waiting - doing nothing when there's no trade, and doing very little whilst letting the trade play out in most cases.
If you have a good trade selection process in place, going through your watchlist or dashboard shouldn't be an arduous or time-consuming process. You should be able to more or less eyeball the chart/price/spread/whatever you trade and quickly tell if there's something there.
The best trades should jump out at you, begging to be traded.
Once you've punted, don't fall for the low time frame false idol of being stuck on the tick chart micromanaging every little move. Most of the time that is unproductive.
Instead, it is often a symptom of not having a clear trade management process in place. It is also a symptom of not being comfortable with the risk you've taken. If you've put on too much size on a mediocre opportunity, that is something you subconsciously recognise and compensate via obsessively managing the trade. It does little more than offer you a false sense of security and increase the odds that you fumble an otherwise salvageable trade.
Social media makes this difficult. You're bombarded with charts, shills, PnL cards, random squiggles labelled as 'trade ideas', the next big narrative, and so on. It can make you feel like if you're not in a trade making money right this second, you're losing.
In reality, most of that stuff is noise. In crypto, a disproportionate majority of your lifetime PnL will come from a handful of good positions in a relatively short period of time.
Focus on building your process for those opportunities instead of arbitrarily filling your 'positions' tab to feel something.
