The discussion of tokenization becomes more interesting than just putting assets onchain when it's time to determine how assets can function.
that’s one thing i’m paying attention to with $INJ following the Meridian Mainnet Upgrade.
There are requirements imposed on institutional finance that aren't being addressed by simply issuing a token and also who can hold an asset? who is allowed to receive or transfer it? how can the issuers be able to maintain control while at the same time making the asset useful across onchain markets?
Often these are significant questions, particularly in dealing with regulated real world assets.
@injective is working on its infrastructure to solve for this side of tokenization, including onchain compliance controls and capabilities for regulated asset issuance.
What is interesting is how these building blocks can be made to cooperate.
These features combined give rise to more space for financial products to become more than just tokens and into actual onchain action.
I think there's a lot more to see in this space too as institutional adoption evolves, but it's great that Injective is investing in it.
RWA tokenization requires infrastructure that can comprehend the assets being brought onchain.
And $INJ is the hub of an ecosystem aiming to make that possible.

There's a lot going on around $INJ at the moment and what I see is the various components beginning to gel.
So here are the highlights from the last week in institutional finance, tokenization, trading, and community development.
1. The new @injective Whitepaper has been published, detailing the network's mechanics for RWA issuance, trading, settlement, derivatives and AI-powered finance. It provides a more comprehensive understanding of the infrastructure of the Injective ecosystem.
2. Thai conglomerate GULF Group's $27B unit, Gulf Labs, chose Injective as an institutional validator and plans to delve into tokenization, stablecoins and enterprise distribution.
3. @CanaryFunds announced that it is launching its staked $INJ ETF with the ticker INJC, which follows the trend of increased institutional engagement with Injective.
4. Additionally, the Trench Treasury started distributing rewards to @sproutsomefun and @runupdotfun, and acquired 10% of the supply of @NinjaCatSF, bringing another Solana community on board with $INJ.
5. New CCTP routes from EVM chains and Solana have also been added to @USDC's new Ecosystem Page, which now has 270+ apps, projects and partners.
6. The Stockdrop rewards were distributed, offering the opportunity to the participants to earn tokenized stocks through the burning of $INJ.
The numbers are worthy of attention as well.
Injective has now crossed the $1B mark in tokenized RWAs and @HelixMarkets has had $832M in trading volume this week and $83.4B overall.
Beyond the numbers, $INJ was expanding its trading footprint further and further on the major platforms, Injective was present at Token2049 with @Microsoft, and the $INJ leadership remained talking about institutional adoption.
The network is also being developed to ensure privacy and quantum resistance.
