I'm pausing recording and releasing of the @WebAccessClub podcast for a month, because I'll be traveling over seas. At first, I was going to bring my microphone with me. But I realise now that it would be impractical

Please rest assured. I am going to finish this season. While I'm overseas, I'm planning to do a few things: 1. Continue to write the scripts for the last 4 episodes of this season. When I get back, I'll be recording multiple episodes in one go.

2. Improve the transcripts. A recent feedback with a listener reveal a lot of grammatical errors; all of which I missed while trying to release in a hurry. 3. Try to improve sound quality of all past episodes. Perhaps I'll finally find the intro music to use!
The 5th episode is going to be about 3-4 days later than usual. I needed to rest over the long weekend 😬
"Think about the end user, not the compliance. So see beyond WCAG compliance, and actually think about the experience of the users." Wise words by @djkalbert on @A11yRules Soundbites podcast. I'm about to touch on it in the next episode a11yrules.com/podcast/albert…

Oh dear, I think episodes are slowly getting longer... So much for 15-20mins goal 😅
Approved illustration sketch for the first episode the other day. Sooo looking forward to using it to post the podcast up on Youtube!!

A friend said they enjoyed my recent podcast episode. It's the best motivation I could ask for 😭

Now this is a cool curation of accessibility stats that is not focused on US beta.appt.org/en

Just talked to the illustrator about illustration for the first episode. Now I'm feeling more energise about getting episode 3 ready for upload on Monday!
Illustrator I'm working with to make illustration for each episode asked: Why do you want illustrations for such content? Good question! I hadn't really thought about it until then. It's definitely not mainly for marketing purposes.

It hit me. I wanted illustrations, because I want to show that web accessibility can be cute, approachable, and colourful. It doesn't have to be walls of text and black white & blue. I wanted a friendly looking resource for myself, when I started my web accessibility journey
A friend shared this podcast in their company's slack to help promote it. That sparked a thread with 30 replies, and resulted in creation of their accessibility group. If I knew one episode could rally allies so quickly, I would have done this years ago!! Thank you friends 🙇
