Feels like we’re watching the end of the anonymous internet in realtime. In the UK, government ID for social media is being pushed by Keir Starmer in the name of child safety. (VPN bans being discussed). EU is building a digital identity verification system. In the US, Anthropic is asking for government ID to access Fable. It seems obvious the direction we're heading.

Anthropic is rolling out identity verification for "certain capabilities." The verification provider is Persona, a 3rd party backed by Peter Thiel. There is absolutely no way that I continue using Claude if this happens.
