He gently scoops her up, cuddling her close. “It’s okay, you’re safe at him.” Ron kissed Rose’s head as he wrapped her blanket around her. “Would Mummy cuddles help make it better?”

He turned on the bedroom light, rubbing his eyes as he enters her room. “Hey, sweetie. Is everything alright?” Ron kneeled beside her little bed, gently patting her head. “Did you have a bad dream?”

“Rosie?”

There was a small huff, this time from the kitty. He wasn’t his babysitter! Just because they were dating, didn’t mean this tall human was officially family. Yet. Crookshanks swatted at Ron’s hair, and then his nose. “Mmph, alright I’m studying…”

He snorts a little.

Snoring softly into his Charms textbook by the fire, ginger kitty beside him.

“That sounds nice.” He smiled, giving her a kiss by her ear before gently lifting Hermione off his lap, packing up their things.

Frowns.

“My number one.” Ron murmured, giving her cheeks a few kisses.

“I know…hey…” He reached out, gently pulling Hermione onto his lap. “I know, but Quidditch practice has made it hard to see you and I’ve missed you. Not an excuse but I promise, promise I’ve got this. You don’t have to worry about me not passing, I’ve got a girl to impress.”

*kissing the top of her head*

“You’re making my brain all fuzzy, that’s why.”

“My favourite spell.” He grinned, gently pulling Hermione back in closer. “This one is for light and Knox makes the light disappear.” Ron smirked.

Ron smirked, leaning in closer and gently stroking Hermione’s cheek. “The ability to make objects fly…”

“Yeah, I’ll just stick to Harry’s cloak.” He wrinkled his nose before laughing softly, holding Hermione’s hand. “Hey, where’s my kiss?” Ron grinned.

He tapped his quill on the paper, rubbing the back of his neck. “Uh…um…grass of some sort.” Ron paused for a moment, a small frown as he thought. “Knotgrass? But not a lot, just a little of it, I think.”

Ah shit. “Ummm…one-one leaping toadstool cap?”

Ron had never unpacked his things faster, sitting back down as he got out his books, quill and paper. He’d do anything for kisses. “Alright. Let’s do this.”

“I will, I promise.” He leaned across the table to give her cheek a kiss. “What sort of game?”

“Well, we can try studying by the lake…I’m sorry.” He reached out and took her hand.
