I often wonder what passes through the minds of those who advocate mass migration, as though the soil of Europe or America might magically impart our values. It will not.
The majority of the developing world—particularly in the Middle East and Africa—does not conceive of identity through the nation-state. Their loyalties lie with extended family, tribe, and faith. They always have. To pretend otherwise is not just naïve, it is dangerous. It is their culture.
We, by contrast, are bound now by the nation-state. Not religion. Not tribe. We may love our families, but our trust—our sense of shared belonging—extends to fellow countrymen.
And what, precisely, binds us to the newcomer? Nothing. We share neither heritage, nor worldview, nor moral architecture. At best, we occupy the same physical space—and as long as the numbers remain in our favour, we may endure. But when they do not, we shall be displaced—politically, legally, and culturally—by those who do not believe in the Western values that gave them entry.
They do not care for inclusion, or diversity, or equality. They care for their faith. Their blood. Their tribe. And once their influence rises, our laws will shift, our education will contort, and the values we once championed will quietly vanish.
The ONS has a coding category for White English ethnicity, but designed the principal census question in such a way that it cannot tell you how many White English people there are.
Meanwhile it can distinguish Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Chinese, Cornish, Ulster Scot and hundreds of much more granular responses.
I have always regarded land acknowledgements absent any intention of actually returning the land, as a piece of political theatre.
Stripped of the ceremonial language, the message is essentially:
“This used to be yours. It is now ours. No, you may not have it back. We merely thought it important to remind you.”
I confess I can no longer reliably distinguish between parody left-wing accounts and the genuine article on here.
Satire has allowed reality to overtake it.
Kemi says the Conservative Party isn’t a retirement home for failed politicians.
Quite right.
Reform is the retirement home.
The Conservative Party is where political careers go to be formally identified by dental records.
That image merely reinforces a rather amusing truth: the most effective creators of right-wing propaganda are so often the left themselves. No strategist could hope for a more diligent recruiting tool.
Having a discussion about Makerfield with @MaxFRobespierre.

Well, given the present condition of the United Kingdom, one could make a compelling case for chain mail becoming standard attire. It would certainly seem a more practical investment than an umbrella.
Not nearly as problematic as it would be with certain other Chapters. Making a White Scar, Blood Angel, or Space Wolf black would indeed be rather absurd, given the highly specific populations from which they traditionally recruit. The Ultramarines, Imperial Fists, and several others, however, draw from far broader recruiting domains than a single world.
That said, the entire debate is fundamentally nonsensical. With a handful of exceptions, most Chapters retain fully functioning gene-seed, and one of the documented effects of Astartes physiology is that skin pigmentation adapts to local environmental conditions. A Space Marine stationed beneath a harsh sun darkens; one removed from it lightens.
The lore therefore leaves precious little room for the fashionable arguments being advanced. Either the process applies universally, in which case all Astartes would eventually tend toward similar adaptations under similar conditions, or it does not. The notion that some are permanently one thing and others permanently another, despite sharing the same biological mechanisms, occupies a rather uncomfortable middle ground that the setting itself does not support.

When I was a pagan in my rather misguided youth, I practised Wicca and possessed a decidedly ornamental athame. Would I, I wonder, have been permitted to carry it on religious grounds?
One never knows when one might need to cast a sacred circle, after all.
They seem to imagine it’s tradition we’re defending, rather than simply refusing to indulge their idiocy.

And lo, on that glorious day, when the NHS consumes the whole of the world’s GDP when every man, woman, and child toils in its holy service then, and only then, shall it at last be deemed fully funded.
In an age obsessed with tearing down, it’s a rare comfort to see someone intent on rebuilding. Our castles stood once as symbols of resolve, it’s high time they did so again.
I could bring that figure to a full hundred percent if I limited my survey to the students at the local liberal arts college.
One does have to wonder why Trump should feel compelled to relinquish power at all when the opposing side seems to wish nothing but harm upon those who voted for him.
They seem dead set on turning him and his supporters into dictators. And it will be out of pure self preservation.
No, it exists. I’ve worked for high street banks and personally turned customers away without their money when they couldn’t give sufficient reason for the transaction. It’s all part of money-laundering regulations, which are extremely strict. If you don’t comply, you’re personally liable because the bank certainly won’t assume the risk for you.
