DMart’s latest results raise a question that every growing business eventually faces: at what point does growth stop translating into better profits?
Revenue rose 17.8% year on year to Rs 19,644 crore.
Net profit increased just 8.5% to Rs 743 crore.
What caught my attention was the June to September comparison. Revenue went up 4.5%, but profit fell nearly 14%.
Expenses grew faster than sales, and the net margin dropped from 4.58% to 3.78.
The pressure is clear. Costs are growing faster than sales, and margins are tightening.DMart’s expansion story remains intact.

The IRONY is HARD to miss.
A protest demanding answers about electoral transparency has now triggered a national debate about detentions, restrictions and the right to protest.
The original questions haven't disappeared. They've multiplied.
Democracy is easy when everyone agrees with you. The real test begins when someone challenges your authority, questions your decisions, and refuses to stay silent.

What is going on !
Dear Prime Minister Ambani,
Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India.
Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete?
There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.
Thank you 🙏
I was moving some luggage at home and hired a vehicle and daily labour. I negotiated with the vehicle guy, but I didn’t negotiate with the labourer. Whatever he asked, I paid, and even paid a little extra.
Sometimes, it’s better not to negotiate with everyone. Some people deserve to be paid fairly for their HARD work (luck).
