A legally wedded Muslim couple from Bangladesh visited Saudi Arabia for Umrah. The husband wanted a honeymoon in Nepal but the wife preferred an Umrah in Mecca, which has been a lifetime ambition for her. During the Umrah, the couple got overwhelmed with joy, hugged each other and shared a kiss. A Pakistani guy recorded the moment and shared it to the police. The Islam authorities got hold of the video and had the young couple arrested. Ordered their beheading. This couple got beheaded with sword and the executioner shouted Allahu Akbar! The bodies of the couple have been returned to Bangladesh in body bags.

Finally, someone from the media has spoken about what we Odias have been shouting about on X for months. And the fact that this issue is finally reaching the mainstream is both encouraging and alarming. Our language and cultural identity are facing a real challenge. Credit goes to the 10% of proud Odias who refused to stay silent. Our voices are finally creating an impact, and more people are waking up. In 1895, Sambalpur became a historic centre of resistance against Hindi imposition and the fight to protect Odia. More than 130 years later another proud Odia from Sambalpur is reminding Odisha the importance of defending its linguistic identity. Look at the irony, embracing Bengali traditions during Durga Puja, celebrating Dandiya and North Indian festivities, feeling embarrassed to watch Odia films, and treating not knowing Odia as some kind of achievement. Cultural exchange is beautiful, but why does embracing another culture have to come at the cost of disrespecting our own? Let us stop the deliberate propaganda dividing Odias by region and dialect. True Odia identity belongs to all 30 districts, every region, and every linguistic variety of our land. I have immense respect for the people of border regions like Balasore, Ganjam and Sambalpur, who have preserved a strong connection to our language and cultural roots despite outside influences. That pride deserves recognition across Odisha, including the Khordha–Puri belt. The enemy is not another language. The enemy is our own inferiority complex. We are only 10% today, perhaps. But we will keep speaking, writing, questioning, and awakening our people until being proudly Odia becomes the norm, not the exception. Jai Jagannath! Jai Kalinga! Jai Odisha!

The Legend of Varsha: four Ages of lore before the game begins In the First Age, god sang the world awake, and seven devas rose to shape it. The mightiest was Arkan, lord of the sun, who envied the one thing only god can do: make something from nothing. He stole the Golden Seed from the great wish-granting tree. Then he tricked humans, who carry a spark of god’s own voice, into singing the forbidden Song of Making to grow him a world of his own. One singer, Vani, heard what the song was really doing, and stopped. The song broke, and Arkan’s world came out unfinished: Patala, the underworld. The tree died and seven sins poured into the world. After a terrible war, god split the world in three: Swarga above for the devas, Dharti in the middle for humans, and Patala below, sealed shut with Arkan inside. In the Second Age, rain came down from Swarga once a year on Indra’s winds. That was the first monsoon, and it never failed. Then Arkan slipped out of Patala as the Seven-Headed King, one head for every sin, and nothing the devas had made could harm him. He seized the golden city of Lanka and planted the Seed to grow a tree he could climb to take Swarga itself. But only a human voice could make it grow, so he stole Sita, a daughter of Vani’s line, to sing for him. She refused for a whole year. Arkan had never thought to fear a human, but god had been born as one: Rama. Rama’s arrow broke the Seed into seven pieces, and Lanka sank beneath the sea. Arkan fell back into the dark, dragging part of the monsoon down with him. The rains began to miss. In the Third Age, the rains were uneven, and lands fought over water as they once fought over gold. Arkan sent splinters of himself up into proud, greedy and angry people, and wore them like masks. God was born once more, for the last time, as Krishna. With rigged dice, Arkan’s masks won the seven pieces of the Seed from the five Pandava brothers. Whoever held the Seed held the rain, and the land went dry for thirteen years. The great war at Kurukshetra was fought for the rain. Afterwards, Krishna made sure no one could ever hold all the rain again: each piece of the Seed became a Heart of the Rains, one for each of the seven lands of Varsha. Under a young tree called Nandi, the lands met as one Great Council and swore the old agreement: “Let the rain come. Let it go again. Never keep it.” The Fourth Age, the Kali Age, is the last and darkest, and down in Patala, Arkan grows stronger on every sin. In time, to guard against drought, the Great Council took every heart into its keeping and began to save the rain. For centuries the hearts filled, and the old agreement became a prayer people recite, not a rule they keep. Now the hearts are full, and the Council plans to open all seven at once on the first day of the coming monsoon. It has been tried once before. Almost nobody remembers how that ended. In the river village of Nandipur, young Aarav takes over his mother’s old job. She left when he was a boy. On his first day, he finally opens the letter she left him: “If you are reading this, then I did not come home in time.” The river is almost dry. But the fields are full of water.

Leo Messi has just scored these 2 goals in the span of 4 minutes at the age of 39. I swear I'm genuinely out of words. I don't know what to say.

This story will sound like a joke but it is not. -A teacher in MP was disappointed by bad condition of village school. -He used his own money to paint it, put some furniture in dining space, cleaned it. -brought a smart board. Gave some stationary to students. -brought 2 retired people to teach students for free. -also brought 2 other teachers & paid them from his pocket. -school enrolment increased, kids left private schools to study here. -kids from nearby villages also came. -Education Department transferred the teacher. -angry villagers protested on highway against his transfer. -he had to leave. Kids cried, everyone sad. -retired teachers were also removed. -kids started leaving school. -villagers protested again at collectorate to bring back that teacher. -Edu Dept gave show cause notice to the teacher asking him if he really used his own money? Who gave him permission. -Also asked him how he hired other teachers w/o permission. -asked if he has given stationary to kids, where did he get the funds? -warned him to reply to the notice to avoid the disciplinary action.
