Our fight is about the future of Hackney. Corporate, stagnant, homogeneous - or independent, fun & diverse. For the older and affluent - or for everyone, including the young.

We hear a lot about pubs closing but, in the last 10yrs, we've lost 50% of our music venues in London. Please share if you too are concerned about what's happening and sign up to support the @WeLoveHackney campaign for a better night time for all. egi.co.uk/news/cooking-up-a-…

This group is doing *actual* work to salvage and protect East London's vivid and creative nightlife against #HackneyCouncil's ridiculous, draconian licensing policies. Shame our highly-paid @nightczar seemingly is unable or incapable! #Hackney

Right. Just ended a five hour stint in this building, fighting for our thousands of local supporters and making case that nightlife clampdown kills:
🚫 Youth jobs
🚫 Diversity
🚫 Culture
Our fight is CLEARLY in the public interest. Sadly Hackney continues to run up outrageous legal costs in an apparent effort to scare us off and avoid a full hearing.
We’re not getting a decision today. The judge has retired to consider and will issue her ruling soon, probably next week. In the meantime, please keep spreading the word and remind your #Hackney friends they can sign up here: welovehackney.org #savenightlife #welovehackney

Read about how a residents group have been given permission for a Judicial Review of #Hackney council’s #licensing policy tinyurl.com/y2fdmhhr @WeLoveHackney #Solicitors #Law
We’ve just arrived at the High Court for a hearing to make sure we can challenge Hackney’s controversial licensing policy *without* legal costs spiralling out of control.
Our council are throwing everything at it to defend the fact they did nothing to consider the impact of their new policy on youth employment, LGBTQ+ culture, or our diverse communities. The court has already agreed this can legitimately be challenged.
So please keep your fingers crossed for us today and watch this space for updates... #savenightlife 🤞🤞🤞
