I notice ditches have been popular on Twitter of late. Conservation Tweeps: can we change this up for the better, with #lifeinaditch, I wonder? For example, this marvellous specimen in Carmarthenshire is home to otters, water voles, and scarce plants like frogbit.

Great news from the Amman Valley, there are six pairs of Pied Flycatcher breeding and making use of the nest boxes INCC volunteers installed back in April. Two more woodlands to check so fingers crossed for more.

Yarrow (Achillia millefolium) is one of the native wildflowers found in Salix seed mixes. It has some amazing other names as well, including our favourites: nosebleed plant, old man's pepper, devil's nettle and soldier's woundwort.

Great day yesterday at the #BISBrecon1 Forum to talk about our Marsh Fritillary Reintroduction Project in Mid Wales. Thanks to everyone for their enthusiasm and support for the project. The license application is now in with NRW so we should hear back in the next couple of weeks.
