Coach piv is the best! Highly recommend his new book “The Book of Piv”!
Although I didn’t have the chance to coach this guy, I’ve had the privilege of coaching alongside him. Will DeBerg is a “Piv’s Pal.”
Will and I were assistants together at the University of St. Thomas, and he brought the same energy and leadership to coaching that he did as a player.
A 2013 St. Thomas grad with a degree in Business, Will played four seasons for the Tommies. He was a key part of the 2011 national championship team, and as a senior captain in 2013, led the squad to a No. 1 national ranking and a trip to the Division III Final Four. Will led the team in scoring in both 2012 and 2013, finishing his career with 904 points. Honors? Oh yeah — All-MIAC, All-West Region, and All-Final Four.
We caught up over a classic breakfast at the iconic Ideal Diner in Northeast Minneapolis with Will and his dad, Craig DeBerg. As you can see, the Book of Piv Tour rolls on!
📚 Haven’t started your summer reading list yet? Most folks have theirs wrapped up by June 1st... how about you? If you're still looking, The Book of Piv might just be the sleeper pick of the season. Coaching lessons, life stories, and enough laughs to get you through your next road trip.

Schoenecker Arena has seen so much, and meant so much, for Tommie Basketball.
Voiced over by @UofStThomasMN legend Steve Fritz, men's basketball coach and athletic director who brought a national championship back to Schoenecker in 2011.

WHAT A GAME! @TommieMBBall wins 73-72 as South Dakota State’s game winning three is a half second too late.
College basketball rocks, this venue was rocking. St Thomas is 3-0 in the Summit with wins already over SDSU & NDSU👀
