Harry Kane scored 73 goals.
He’s not even a poacher like Haaland.
He’s everywhere on the pitch - defending, initiating attacks - CF/AM/CM all in one.
Scored in every single CL KO tie.
He makes the team/players around him better, unlike Mbappe.
Ballon D‘or by a landslide.

It was never a ‘stretch target.’ The manifesto promise came with no caveats. It only became a ‘stretch’ when it was clear they’d never hit it — not by a long chalk. Would be more honest just to admit that. But that’s not how politicians work. They think we can’t see their dissembling.
So let me do their work for them: there is no chance — no chance — Labour will build 1.5m new homes in England between 2024 and 2029. End of.
“It was always a stretch target”
Housing Secretary Angela Rayner admits there’s only a “slim chance” the government meets its target to build 1.5 million homes in this parliament but says “I’m definitely not giving it up”

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Labour's 2024 manifesto committed to building "1.5 million new homes over the next parliament" as a central pledge. Pre-election announcements, including from Keir Starmer, framed it as deliverable ("how, not if") through planning reforms rather than a stretch goal.

If people did their research they’d know most of RDZ’s teams take a while to adjust to his philosophy because of the high standard requirements to hit perfection on and off the ball in every phase of play… just because we spent big doesn’t mean we skip the adjustment process

Conservatives have a fully funded plan to increase our defence spending to 3% - restoring the two child benefit cap, cutting housing benefit and making changes to the motability scheme.
Defence of our country must be every government’s highest priority.

Not everything has to be looked at through the lens of discrimination.
Conservatives managed to choose our first woman leader 51 years ago. Meanwhile Labour are celebrating Andy Burnham as their first female Prime Minister.
Claire has been promoted because she is excellent and Conservatives believe in meritocracy.
If Harriet is worried about discrimination, there is plenty in her own party to keep her busy.
Boris Johnson promoted me to the Treasury while I was on maternity leave in 2020. Nobody did a podcast episode on it because we didn’t think it was remarkable. He just knew I could do the job.
Women do not need patronising theories to explain their success. That is the point.
Time was, @ClaireCoutinho, that women had to conceal pregnancy, fearing the sack. We fought against maternity discrimination so that women could be promoted on merit not sacked for pregnancy. I’m glad you’ve escaped mat discrimination. But it’s still a problem. How about siding with us to banish it? @ThenScrewed

🚨CEO Vinai Venkatesham has REFLECTED on Tottenham Hotspur’s Summer Transfer Window, via LinkedIn:
🗣️“Transfer windows are always busy periods at a football club, but this one has been on DIFFERENT SCALE at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.”
🗣️”Across our Men’s First Team alone, we have delivered well over 30 transactions. This is a huge number of incoming transfers, outgoing moves and contract renewals across a 78-day window. But that number only tells part of the story.”
🗣️”Behind every announcement are months of scouting, analysis and planning, alongside negotiations, financial modelling, contracts, medicals, registrations, welcoming new players and their families, logistics, communications and countless other details.”
🗣️”Beyond the Men’s squad, this has been a period of enormous change across Tottenham Hotspur. We have reshaped systems, standards and structures inside our training centre.”
🗣️”The workload across the Club has been immense, and the effort has been extraordinary.”
🗣️”I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has played a part. Our football leadership, recruitment and performance teams, coaches, medical and player-care colleagues, legal, finance, operations, comms & content departments, and the many other people across the Club who have made this possible.”
🗣️”Many colleagues have given up evenings, weekends, bank holidays and plenty of sleep to deliver what we set out to achieve.”
🗣️”We know that a transfer window does not win football matches. The responsibility now is to work hard together and deliver performances that supporters can be proud of.”
🗣️”This summer has represented a SIGNIFICANT STEP in the evolution of Tottenham Hotspur and a clear demonstration of our ambition for the future.”
🗣️”Thank you to everyone who has helped make it happen.”
