Le Guin really points out how this thinking in a colonial lens purposely uplifts women in ways that still tethers them to an innate ānurturing/maternalā role
Itās a back-handed compliment, as women are recognized as masters of nature but purposely locked out of anything greater
I also specify colonial attitudes because it is possible to have a connection between gender and environment that isnāt inherently segregated or cut into the inferior/superior dichotomy, but under colonialism it very much is.
This is another really understated part I love.
Shaddiq is constantly talking up his own love for Miorine but repeatedly does things that will hurt her, believing itās for her own good. He ends up looking more like Delling while Guel actually puts his growth into action.
The thing that gets me about people denying SuleMio and trying to push Guel onto one of the girls is that Guel doesnāt even want that.
This is how he reacts when Suletta says āI have someone precious to meā in response to his confession. He just goes āoh okay I understandā
Also while I love the last duel, this scene is another great moment.
Guel objects to Suletta piloting the Calibarn, Suletta says itās her choice, Miorine stands with Suletta, and he realizes itās not his place to decide. A small moment showing what heās learning.
Finally finished the MG Advanced Hazel I got for my birthday. 10/10 on everything, probably one of my absolute favourite Gundam designs.

RG Zeta done and yeah I understand the complaints now. I think some people do exaggerate but it really feels held back by how thin and fragile the inner frame is.
Nothing feels good to move outside of the limbs and I always worry somethingās gonna pop out of place.
I love the decals, especially the amount of gold accents. Definitely a strong point.
Iād say the weakest point is that thereās few areas to hold onto when assembling. Trying to add the back waverider pieces was annoying because the chest is very hollow and easily pops open.
