Popovic sees this and rather choose a midfielder who hasn’t played a full 90 all season

Alex Robertson - Mentality 💪🏾⚽️ An unfortunate O.G from him putting Burnely 4-1 up with 28mins to go, going on to recover & scoring this screamer to put Cardiff 5-4 up. The lads mentality is absolutely top👏

Pathetic performance by a group of extremely average players. Nothing but long balls all day hoping for the best. If we don’t sort out our transition defending we will struggle all season

I’ve watched every game so far this weekend and my god the quality is terrible. So sad how far this league has fallen

Points shared after a 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒚 match between Victory and Mariners 🌶️ Shillington was red-carded in the 13th minute, a Lavale worldie then put Central Coast ahead right in front of the North Terrace, before a Valadon wonder-strike got the hosts level ⚔️

Used to have players with creativity and flair now we have players that can’t pass a ball and look like a deer in the headlights with the ball. Don’t blame people for not watching this

The space between our midfield and defence is shocking. Getting caught out in transition far too much #WELvCCM

Wow a player that spent most of his time playing in the 4th tier of Austria. How exciting. I think our current batch of foreign players may be up there as one of the worse in league history.

So what’s the excuse for losing to a NPL team a week before the league starts? Won’t surprise me if we break the lowest points record lol

Last season was IMO horrible in terms of quality. This season will be much worse. How on earth does anyone get excited for this?

Disappointing result for the Mariners. Focus now turns to the second match on Saturday. ⚽️ Luke Becvinovski & Ali Auglah were the goal-scorers for the Mariners today. #CCMFC 🟡🔵
