Huge news for Taiga UI!
We've heard many times that people really like the library, but without enterprise support, they don't feel comfortable adopting it within their companies. After the v5 release, we decided we're in good enough shape to vouch for it.
So we've established a dedicated company called Pineopticone to take official ownership of Taiga UI, Maskito, and other projects we develop. There is NO change to the license. Everything IS and WILL REMAIN open source and free for commercial use under Apache 2.0.
What's new is our ability to offer paid services to those who want more than just the libraries themselves and our usual support and communication channels.
Our first product available for purchase is the Taiga UI v5 Figma library. Get an individual license or a company bundle and give your designers a tool to build interfaces using Taiga UI components, with all their props and customization options at their fingertips.
If this sounds interesting to you, or you'd like to explore other partnership opportunities, such as SLAs, LTS guarantees, priority support, and whatnot – reach out using the form below:

#CSS grid is supported for nearly 10 years by now, but if you thought you're safe – "min-height: 0", one of the most popular CSS reset second only to box-sizing probably, is enough to break it in @webkit:

The fieldset + legend border is magical. It adds a break to fit in the legend text. You can use it to create a common UI pattern of flying label with real hole in the border, instead of covering it with label's background or using multiple manual segments:

ResizeObserver is so 2025, in 2026 we measure size with CSS 😎

Did you know that #Angular directives can extend native classes? Here's an IntersectionObserver directive that IS an IntersectionObserver
Check out my new article about a good ol' trusted library I rely on every day ever since we created it:

Angular gives you plenty of ways to render dynamic content
But sometimes the “official” way is not the nicest one New article drop at Angular Space by @Waterplea 👇
Polymorpheus is one of those tiny libraries that solves a very specific problem so well that, once you start using it, you wonder why #Angular doesn’t work like this by default
Alex Inkin explains how it works, where Angular’s built-in options start getting awkward, and why Taiga UI uses Polymorpheus everywhere

Here's a more practical example for you – a slider that controls #CSS grid template so we can easily resize a sidebar:

Scroll-driven animations are finally coming to Firefox. It brings a whole set of new patterns and opportunities. We were able to toggle things with CSS via `:checked`, now we can do numerical interactions purely in CSS via sliders. Check this boilerplate:

Oh snap, happy birthday, @Angular! September 14, 10 years. Sorry I missed it by a few days 😄
Hey, @billcom , you might want to consider Maskito for your phone masking 😉
Thank you Master.dev for hosting my article! BTW, this is how scrollbars in Taiga UI now work. Huge performance benefits over JavaScript, before and after:
Custom Scrollbar Component In 2026
Thanks to some very modern CSS, we can visually replicate the logic of scrollbars. Then make them actually functional. blog.master.dev/custom-scrol…
Check out my new article on modern #CSS tech, such as anchor positioning, container queries and scroll-driven animations all in one quest to make custom scrollbars with no ResizeObserver, no scroll listeners and barely any #JavaScript at all:

With Anchor Positioning we can finally sort of fix this ridiculous Apple rubberband scroll that plagues the entire web with gaping holes when you overscroll:

CSS scroll-driven animations are insane. Check out how an empty animation gets triggered only when a line-clamp text overflows its container so we can react and show "See more" button:

#CSS tip for the day! Check out how border-image can help you create those dotted connections in a definition list you typically see in Table of Contents everywhere:

Typed attr() for all properties is insanely good! Check out this pure CSS meter component in Chrome:

Coming soon to Safari and Firefox!
Does anybody even read tech articles these days? Feels like I'm writing for the AI to skim through when y'all ask it how to center a div 🥲
It's been a while since I wrote something, check out my new article about increasingly more difficult #CSS challenges I have faced, working on our UI library. This time no Angular, just pure frontend, enjoy!

Good luck to our colleagues in this new stage! 🙂
