Good morning! Continuing with my black and white posts but throwing in a couple geological shots that I adore from my time in the American Southwest. If you love nature and have not explored that area you are missing out on some of the most remarkable rock formations on the planet. Questions about it? I don’t gatekeep, ask me anything 🫶🏻 Three of these shots were taken from The Wave, and one was from the slot canyon nearby called Buckskin Gulch. 🖤🩶🤍 Hope you enjoy! 🖤🩶🤍 – at Kanab, UT
Two more for tonight, both of the same Wyoming moose on the same epic morning. Backlit by a rising sun, with his breath and a thick fog creating such an ethereal look in each of these. 🖤🩶🤍 the trend continues! 🖤🩶🤍 Come back for more tomorrow 🫶🏻

Adulting 101 Day 3. Calves were scattered from one end of the pasture to the other. Gathering in the fog is a bit of a challenge

A small selection of highlights from the Colombian Amazon back in July; Guianan Cock-of-the-Rock, White-browed Purpletuft (without the tufts), Orinoco Piculet and a Blackish Nightjar found in the day time doing an injured bird impression.

I think he found a partner, because there's a new nest burrow dug into the bank along the drive 👍
He's been calling "chi-chi-chi-chi" most of the day. If he finds a partner they will be nesting in the bank along the drive very soon 🙃

Today's #RamsarSpotlight takes us to Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary in Tamil Nadu. For nearly three centuries, the residents of Vedanthangal have protected and guarded the birds that visit the area. Generations of people. Generations of birds. And a relationship that has endured for centuries. #RamsarSpotlight #WetlandsofIndia
