The first clear night since Wednesday allowed the first unobstructed views of the Honor Summit lights from the summit, seen here backlighting the tower, the parapet, and a vertical shot where the parallel light beams appear to cross. (1/2)

If you visit Mount Washington in the summer, Nimbus can occasionally be seen hanging out around the summit. He is not easily spotted, though! His dark grey color is perfect camouflage against the metamorphic schist boulder fields that make up the summit.

New Hampshire got a new coating of snow overnight and it's spectacular. I took this picture from Sugar Hill, with a distant view of Franconia Notch and snow on Mount Lafayette.

A herd of about 100 to 150 goats stopped traffic in Calabasas after they escaped through a hole in a fence! The herd's handler, known locally as the "goat man", was able to use herding dogs to bring the goats back home. No people or goats were harmed. 🐐

After their swing around the far side of moon, Artemis II mission specialist Christina Koch shared a message with NASA’s Mission Control on on behalf of the crew. "We will explore, we will build, we will build ships, we will visit again," Koch said. "We will construct science outposts, we will drive rovers, we will do radio astronomy, we will found companies, we will bolster industry we will inspire, but — ultimately — we will always choose Earth, we will always choose each other." A buckling born with deformities affecting his hind legs, hips, and pelvis defied all odds and thrived after being given a rear-legged wheelchair at a sanctuary in Kentucky. “Tater may be tiny and fragile, but he is already showing us exactly what determination looks like. He has been fighting from the very beginning,” the Butterfly Valley Rescue & Sanctuary said.
