Only 23.9% of the S&P 1500 is above its 50DMA. Another new low... Only 46% is above the 200DMA. Another new low... Yesterday we had 79 new lows vs 27 new highs. The cumulative A/D line is STILL rolling over. And the percent of the S&P1500 currently in a Stage 2 advance continues to decline.. The clearest relative strength is still coming from tech. That doesn’t mean I’m bearish on the new rally. It means I’m not going to pretend one exists with broad participation before the data says it does. I want to see this start broadening out. More stocks reclaiming their 50DMA. New highs expanding. New lows drying up. A/D turning higher. More sectors actually participating instead of a handful of names carrying the load. Until then I’ll remain cautious, keep risk controlled, and stay focused on the areas actually showing strength, which right now means tech. If the rest of the market joins in, great.
