So it turns out smart mesh deformation works in 3D, and it’s ridiculously easy to get things moving.
Upload a model. Place a few pins. Start animating.
No bones, no rigging, no weight painting.

4/ Bring your own AI: use your Gemini API key or sign in with ChatGPT to use your Codex plan (beta).
MCP support also lets compatible AI apps control Warp Studio’s desktop editor—so you can work from your own AI setup.
2/ Inverse kinematics: connect shoulder → elbow → paw, then move the paw.
The chain bends to reach it. Move the elbow to adjust the bend, or turn stretching off to preserve limb lengths.
The same idea works for arms, legs and tails.
1/ Pins are handles inside your model. Pull one and the surrounding mesh deforms smoothly through the body. Other pins anchor the parts you want to hold still.
Key a few poses on the timeline; Warp 3D fills in the movement between them.
