On this day in 1513, Henry VIII landed in France with his army to fight the French in the War of the League of Cambrai. Meanwhile, in Scotland James IV considered a request for support from the French King Loius XII. The result would be the Battle of Flodden, fought between the English and the Scots on 9 Sept, 1513. It's as good a time as any to drop the latest The Wars Beneath Our Feet video. Please do like and subscribe! youtu.be/c119d2VdEmM

Article in today’s @heraldscotland by @NeilMackay already posted by others but behind a paywall, so here’s an old school version. Apologies in advance to all those colleagues who never get credit in a feature like this.

TV schedule for ITV the day the Falklands War came to an end. Argentine troops surrendered in Stanley after occupying the islands for 74 days. Live and Let Die was how it was in the brutal battles on the mountains, but Live and Let Live quickly became the mantra.
