Campaign Group: we don't believe 6,200 new homes should be built in Wantage and Grove unless they're sustainable (enough jobs, schools, doctors, roads etc.)

Our #BusinessOfTheDay is @WessexMill in Wantage!
The mill has produced nearly 13,000 small bags of flour each day during the coronavirus pandemic, a fourfold increase.
They've even received press coverage from @nytimes for their amazing efforts! 👏

What will happen to the contributions from developers towards leisure facilities? What has happened to the new homes bonus received for the housing built in OX12 so far?
We wait for further explanations...
Over the last 10 years nearly £6m spent on leisure facilities in Abingdon & about £176,000 on our existing leisure centre. Once again no funding for OX12.
The District Council just announced that they have formally agreed that all work on the proposed new leisure centre between Grove and Wantage will now come to an end, as they are unable to raise the £18.8 million the centre was expected to cost.
