From my baymate - exciting stuff!
Excited to share our findings about the self-assembly of the phage nucleus! In short: it’s primarily composed of a single ~70 kDa protein and forms a beautiful (I may be a little biased 😍) C2 symmetric lattice!

Our structure of an active Janus Kinase-Cytokine Receptor dimer is out in @ScienceMagazine. We found a dimerization interface between apposing pseudokinase domains that is stabilized by oncogenic Val-Phe mutation resulting in ligand-independent activation science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…

We investigated millions of potential protein-protein interaction pairs in yeast by modeling them with RoseTTAFold and AlphaFold. Check out some of neat the interactions from dimers to pentamers that we found: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Several immensely talented postdocs will be leaving our lab within the next year. I wanted to make it clear (to folks involved in selection/grants committees) that they all *own* the work they've done here & they'll take it *all* with them, of course (it's theirs!).
