On Social Media, The White House and The White House Correspondents Association and Freedom of Speech. Social media is owned by private companies. Using it is subject to the terms and conditions of those companies and the people that run them. Access to social media is not a right but a privledge given by a business or private entity. You have the freedom to speak but the owner can refuse to let you use their tool to post that speech. The White House is owned by the people of the United States. They have a right to observe and speak about what it’s duly elected public servants announce to the public. Those elected officials can set rules to get access to that building as long as they do not infringe on a constitutional right. The publicly owned government does not have the right to remove the public’s access to hear announcements and use their free speech to interpret what they believe it does, regardless of what those elected officials desire the public to say. The White House Correspondents Association has no constitutional right to limit access, give access or refuse the right of any public citizen journalist to attend the activities or announcements from the White House based on corporate affiliation or the perceived value of the reporters words. It organizes access to the President and White House for journalists in what is supposed to be a fair, balanced and nonpartisan approach. This organization can protect freedom of speech, but it could be abused to limit free speech to only the corporate and private entities it deems worthy of direct access.

Paid social media influencers on X acting like a legitimate news source is laughable. They go where the money and the propaganda machine tells them to go. No one should feel good about countries killing one another’s citizens but the disingenuous flip in a day is too blatant.

Are they arresting Democrats, ANTIFA, rioters or protestors? The words are used interchangeably, then people start posting that ANTIFA members are dressing as inflatable animals. At some point, it sounds like an excuse to label anyone opposing the administration as a terrorist.
