Another excellently executed podcast by @WalkingLinePod. This timeline was totally ignored by law enforcement. Unacceptable. We deserve nothing less than the truth. Calvin matters! Thank you @lexikakis

πADVOCATES - We need your help! π¨
Friday, December 1st will mark 29 years since Melissa Ann Witt was abducted from a Bowling World parking lot in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Six weeks later her body would be found in the Ozark National Forrest. She was found nude, and her killer stole her beloved Mickey Mouse watch with a brown band.
In conjunction with the 29th anniversary of Melissa Witt's murder, the nonprofit All the Lost Girls (@AllLostGirls), in partnership with the Who Killed Melissa Witt Investigative Team are offering a $29,000 reward for any of the following critical pieces of information:
Information that leads to Melissa Witt's Mickey Mouse watch and the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for her kidnapping and murder.
Information that can help us identify the following individuals. (Thanks to a reliable tip, we are searching for the following individuals who were seen in the Bowling World parking lot on the evening of December 1, 1994.)
1. Male, short stature, mustache, glasses, wearing a blue shirt, jeans, brown boots, white (or light colored) baseball cap. This man was seen standing outside of Bowling World on the sidewalk smoking. It is very likely that he heard and/or saw the very loud altercation between Melissa Witt and her abductor.
2. A couple with a young boy (the child was approximately between the ages of 8 and 10-years-old) that walked across the parking lot and entered Bowling World. The woman, reported as "short" with blonde "fluffy" hair, was wearing a tan/light colored sweater with stripes. The husband/male companion was reported to be taller than his wife/female companion.
If you have any information about these individuals please contact our confidential tip line at 1-800-440-1922 or email us confidentially at [email protected].

An Open Letter to Suffolk County Executive-Elect, Ed Romaine
@GopSuffolk
Sir,
I am writing to you today to implore your administration to not only prioritize the Gilgo Beach investigation and maintain the integrity of the Taskforce, that you appoint a talented and respected Police Commissioner that can lead the investigative process all the way through to additional charges, but that you and your teams acknowledge the suffering of the families of the victims along Ocean Parkway, and the long delayed Justice and respect due to them.
For far too long the families have dealt with delay, malfeasance, dereliction of duty and corruption. What began under your predecessorβs tenure, is now yours to complete, yours to achieve. Please commit your dedication to the families of Karen Vergata, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Amber Lynn Costello, Valerie Mack Jessica Taylor, Shannan Gilbert and the Unidentified Persons known only to us as Peaches, her daughter Toddler, and Asian Doe.
Please commit your administration to bringing Justice for Jessica Taylor and Valerie Mack, victims since 2000 and 2003 respectively. Extend olive branches to these families and offer assurances that their lost loved ones will get the justice long detoured, long delayed.
Ensure that your Police Commissioner and their team will re-explore the death of Shannan Gilbert with the fresh new set of eyes that ushered in the reinvigoration that led to the arrest of Rex Heuermann. The circumstances surrounding Shannan Gilbertβs death warrant a qualitative and comprehensive reexamination. The myriad personalities involved or thought to be involved need to be explored with modern insight and attentiveness.
It is said that the wheels of Justice grind slow, but fine; it is time to give these victims and their devastated families the confidence in you and your new administration to bring them that Justice.

Shannan Gilbert
Lots of discussions lately, for and against John Ray, and even I have been on both sides of those opinions, but no one can deny that he has worked hard to keep Shannan front and center.
When the Gilbert's had few in their corner, there was John Ray. A polarizing figure no doubt, and for a lawyer, he is doing what he needs to do to advocate for Shannan. Some of us like it, some of us do not, but without John Ray, who would be out there working for Shannan?
Who would be deposing Pak, Brewer, Hackett? Who would be out there keeping SCPD's feet to the fire? Or bridging a gap with SCPD?
More importantly, who would be there to give some hope to Shannan's family?
Shannan is forever a part of the reality of Gilgo and should be treated with the same respect and reverence, and ultimately, the same measure of JUSTICE.
@RayTierneyDA Shannan's death is suspicious at the very least, with an inept investigation that was intentionally derailed by corrupt officials. We implore you to examine her death with a "new set of eyes", just as was done for other Gilgo victims.
For over a decade, we have watched all of the political machinations, political infighting and political careers aspired to, all at the expense of Shannan and every other Gilgo victim. Give them all equal Justice.
