I spoke with a company last week that kicked off my AI workshop with, “Alright, everyone, and as a reminder, everyone is tasked to do ONE AI work task by July!”
July.
As in, July 2025.
As in 2.5 years after ChatGPT launched.
I got up and said, “I have no idea what is driving that July deadline, but your new deadline for me is end of day.”
And sure enough, later that day, I got several emails and DMs from people at the company telling me how they used AI that day.
I also found four AI superusers in the room and had them each commit to holding one office hour for people with AI questions.
Your organization is essentially committing to irrelevance if you don’t aggressively train your teams and create meaningful incentives to increase AI usage.
