Explaining why I enjoy satanic symbolism. Possibly a divisive one, but important to explain. Long wall of text ahead : Early feelings : My attraction to these things has always been prevalent through my life, either it be morbid curiosity or the idea to know more beyond what is taught to you willingly by society. I have a curious mind and I didn't appreciate the narrowed perspective of life from religious institutions or society members that are highly supersticious or judgemental of diverse ways of thinking or self expression. History is brutal : Then the more I learned through history, the worse things got. The abuse of indigenous people in Latin America by the Spaniards in every sense of the word, motivated by greed and justified by the Church. Religious views and institutions have been used a lot through time to justify the subordination of women. Which obviously I can't abide. Trying to control their bodies and restrict their free will. Not to mention that religion strips away from women their tittle as the creators of life. Real Christians VS. performative Christians : Here, I wish to extend an apologize to the real christians that I may have hurt by ever thinking or saying that all religious people are the same. They are not. Somewhere, very well hidden away from cameras and media, there are real christians that believe in love and compassion rather than cherry pick bibble verses to justify their bigotry. There is nothing I despise more than the performative side of religion. Those that think they are going to heaven for saying slurs online to minorities or that they have a right to enforce what is in the bibble and then say prayers to cleanse their soul LMAO, when in reality their own lives is in shambles. I thought it was : "Those free of sin may cast the first stone." I can guarantee. NONE here is free of sin, but it pays the bill to say anti LGBT things so that makes it right. Bullshit. You are not an agent of God. You are a demon in disguise pretending to be holier than thou. You know who I'm talking about, the people that put a ✝️ in their bio and a random bibble verse say the most hineous things ever. Jesus was brown, loved to spend time with the poor and marginalized, by the way. He disliked the rich. Finally, me dressing up as a demon and having satanist references : I do not subscribe to anyone else's beliefs but my own. My thoughts are my own. I'm individualistic. I like satanic refereces because it sends a statement that I, as a person, renounce the Christian ideology for the things I mentioned above and much more, but that's it. I don't go around trying to tell people to stop being Christian, nor I seduce them away from their faith. I don't go knocking doors to try to convert them nor I build temples where people can go and pray. I just exist. I've noticed it also creates an invisible wall between me and supersticious people when I go outside, as it makes me less approachable and thereof, more comfortable of enjoying my own time without bothering anyone. Specially as a Trans women in this day and age. I don't believe nor I participate in anything the mainstream media may have brainwashed us that satanist may do such as sacrificing others, hurting, cultist behavior, etc. I don't believe in hurting people, animals or plants. Nor I smoke nor drink. In fact, I encourage exercise, sleep and eating healthy. I like dressing up as a demon because it scares the superticious away and it filters them out of my life without me even having to say a word. If you may it all the way down here wow, thanks for having patience to try to get to know me better. Maybe in the future my ideas will change or not. But as of right now, this is how I feel and see things.
