Not a native Texan, but got here as soon as I could; Wake alum- Go Deacs!, Rangers/Mavericks/Stars/Cowboys, vintage 70’s Baltimore Colts, Orioles, Bullets fan

Joined November 2013
Even after Belichick called timeout before Wake’s last play of the game, he told his defense to watch for the, “Quarterback keep!”, they didn’t defend it. A cherry-on-top TD to complete the W.

NY Times is now in FULL damage control mode after they were called out for referring to the stabbing of an airplane captain and an attempted hijacking by the co-pilot as an "altercation." Their excuse is that they aren't "activists and partisans." Pathetic
NY Times just got hit with a BRUTAL community note.

Brother… we’re over here enjoying ACTUAL competition in the SEC and BIG 10, not second half concerns to Wake Forest.

Whistleblower Dr. James P. Miller tells Sen. Ron Johnson hospitals inflated COVID numbers, pushed remdesivir they knew was dangerous, denied care to the unvaccinated, and then tried to destroy the doctors who told the truth. “The head of infectious disease medicine at my hospital privately told me that he was working with the state government to restrict the civil rights of unvaccinated people.”

She says corporations should not buy elections, but accepted more than $9 million in Super PAC assistance after campaigning against Super PACs. She says education should not be reserved for rich children, but wants to eliminate federal charter-school expansion funding, protecting the government-school monopoly while restricting alternatives for poor families who cannot move to better districts. She says illness should not cause bankruptcy, then proposes replacing individual choice with a federal health-care monopoly. She calls child care an “investment,” but her plan ties federal money to federal standards, credentialing, compensation rules, and approved providers. Parents receive subsidized access to the system government designs, not control over their own child-care dollars. She says billionaires should pay their “fair share” when they already pay 38% of total income taxes paid. She says abortion is healthcare but it’s not. Healthcare is a Pap smear. She says homes are for people, but wants a federal monopoly and subsidies will not fix the zoning restrictions, permitting delays, regulations, inflation, and interest rates that make homes prohibitively expensive to build and finance. She says Americans should not subsidize data centers, but the broader progressive model routinely uses tax incentives, subsidies, mandates, and preferential regulation to pick corporate winners and then acts shocked when corporations shift their costs onto working families. She says public officials should not enrich themselves, but her solution is always to concentrate more money and authority in Washington. She says power should belong to working people, but supports eliminating right-to-work protections, restricting independent contracting, expanding federal regulation, and making families increasingly dependent on government-approved institutions. The only hill she’ll die on is hypocrisy.
10 Hills I’ll die on: - Big corporations shouldn’t be able to buy elections - A good education shouldn’t just be for rich kids - Getting sick shouldn’t mean going broke - We should invest in child care like we do our roads and libraries - Billionaires should pay their fair share so everyone else gets a fair shot - Homes are for people, not corporations - Abortion is health care - Americans should not have to subsidize the cost of data centers - No one should be able to use public office to make themselves richer - We need to put put power back in the hands of working people

🚨 Zohran Mamdani has planted over 18,000 trees in NYC, the most in a decade. The trees will bring cleaner air and prevent flooding.

How did this madness slipped right through a Republican-run state for more than 30 years? Oh wait… Texas is home to former President George W. Bush Jr., the same person who told us two weeks after the jihadist terrorist attack on 9/11 that Islam is a religion of peace. 🤦‍♀️ thefederalist.com/2026/09/25…
