WHAT IS BAWSAQ?
BAWSAQ is Rockstar's Nasdaq stock exchange parody, and the name is a joke on "ballsack."
It has been in every game of this GTA era: GTA IV, Episodes from Liberty City, Chinatown Wars and GTA V.
BAWSAQ ran on Rockstar's servers, so every player's trades moved the same prices. Rockstar pitched it as "insider trading and corporate espionage."
They wrote it in the storyline for Lester's missions where you take out a CEO and trade the fallout, and players got rich buying Pisswasser.
Will it be in GTA 6? All signs point ti yes.
Same world: GTA 6's trailers show Pisswasser, Logger, eCola and Ammu-Nation, all brands carried over from GTA IV and V.
Same tickers: those brands were BAWSAQ stocks in GTA V. Pisswasser was PIS, Vapid was VAP, and Ammu-Nation was AMU. The companies that would be listed are already back.
All fictional: Take-Two's CEO reportedly said all of GTA 6's brands are made up. A world full of parody companies needs a parody exchange.
Most GTA coins only borrow the name and get vamped. $BAWSAQ is the exchange itself. Its launchpad lets anyone list a fictional stock paired with BAWSAQ, and PIS is already trading there.
Most GTA coins fade when the hype moves on. This is the market Rockstar built.

BAWSAQ isn’t a random ticker.
It’s the in-game stock exchange from Grand Theft Auto — the parody of Nasdaq that’s been in the series longer than most people have been trading memecoins. From GTA IV onward, players were already paper-trading on it, and Rockstar has officially confirmed they will be using all their old parodies in GTA VI. That can be seen from their new marketing campaign in Miami.
Now it’s on-chain.
