In reality, there was no lead female FBI agent working the case. The lead agents were James R. Fitzgerald, Terry Turchie, and Jim Freeman​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​. The only real significant female in the entire case is Kaczynski’s sister-in-law who recognized his writing when his manifesto came out and convinced her husband to report him to the FBI, which led to his capture.
