Our 2024 Sales for our US based store. I know it’s not a lot, and a lot of you guys do these per day, but this was what we did. The store only sells to the US. Single product but will start to expand soon. AOV is about $200 and in the leather niche. Our own product designed by us. I don’t live in the US and have never been there. Everything was set up from South Africa (C-Corp through Stripe Atlas). Bank account with Mercury. We manufacture in the US and Mexico and use a 3PL (Flexport) for fulfilment. This was completely bootstrapped. As soon as we have enough cash to pay the 50% for another order, we do. But lead times aren’t great so we are out of stock quite frequently. With some proper planning, we can probably get this to $500k in 2025 without any extra capital. Let’s see how 2025 goes.

Fashion ecom is extremely hard. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s problem after problem. Imports are a problem, sizing, returns/exchanges etc. And that’s without the massive competition. But damn, it’s rewarding when it eventually works.

About me. Currently running two eCom businesses in South Africa with our own warehouse where we pack and ship all the orders from. We also have an ecom store in the US (separate US C Corp) selling niche leather products (our own brand), using 3PL to fulfil orders.

I'll be using X as my personal diary going forward of everyday experiences running our own ecom brands. I still do all Meta ads, content, website design, social media etc myself, so I have decent experience there. My biz partner is in charge of CS, warehouse and logistics.
