The students in our FOM CTE program were asked to partner with our West Warwick Fire Department to create a solution to assist in elevator issues. Our students were tasked with designing and manufacturing the template and prototype that will be used on our WWFD truck!

Very proud of this FOM group! We are reading Krakauer’s INTO THE WILD and their task was to take a transcendental quote they admired and create a laser wood design using symbols from the text to support their inspiration. @WWHSWizardPride @WWHSTechCoach

Our Manufacturing students created custom designed & crafted CNC cutting boards. This was the 1st time the entire class was able to utilize the CNC machine. Fantastic skills & useful resources being built in the FOM department! #wwhswizardpride #cte @WWHSTechCoach @WWHStechteach

Ss met with one of the primary stakeholders today do show their first prototype & get feedback. Our district physical therapist was able to clarify many questions for the @e4usa Ss has about the TAAP Treadmill program.

Full size table off the #cnc and dryfit, looks like a solid design so far. Each equipment display table had to be made out of a single sheet of 4x8 plywood and finished dimensions to be 47"x24"×36" with casters.

Some @e4usa Ss made their 1/5th scale prototype. Designed collaboratively in @Onshape , scaled down & using @Vectric and cut on @FullSpecLaser MUSE. Just a few adjustments before we go full scale and test.

Student @e4usa engineer Lopez created a custom template for his mounting system. Will take accurate measurements back in the classroom & plans to model in @Onshape before creating a permanent design. Modeled his template plan after we discussed countertop fabricator templating
