A Tip From the Nursery’s Boss 🐈 Hi, it’s Lucy from A&P Nursery. I have a little secret: I’ve been sitting on the watering guide so no one can find it. But since I’m feeling generous, here’s my tip: check what your plants need before you water. Your landscape doesn’t always need a drink just because it’s watering day. Quest for Water: Woods Canyon Lake 🌲 High in the Mogollon Rim, about 30 miles east of Payson, Woods Canyon Lake sits at roughly 7,500 feet far above Arizona’s desert communities. But where does this 55-acre lake get its water? Woods Canyon Lake is a man-made reservoir, created by an earthen dam across the Woods Canyon Creek drainage. Its watershed collects rain, snow, and runoff from the surrounding high-country forest, eventually carrying that water toward the lake. Follow the water, and you’ll find an entire ecosystem connected by it. woodscanyonlakeaz.com #WaterUseItWisely #QuestForWater #SmartWaterUse

Keep Your Lawn in the Loop 🌱 A green winter lawn can be tempting, but keeping Bermuda grass dormant may be a more water-wise choice. Before overseeding, consider the extra water, mowing and maintenance that come with that seasonal green-up.
