You might think these participants are not paying attention to the discussion 😀 Hold that! This was a photojournalism session, one of the practical components with community #WASH Champions from Ntchisi, Kasungu, and Mangochi districts during a community journalism engagement.
The engagement was held over the past two weeks under the Time to Deliver Campaign, spearheaded in partnership with @wateraidmalawi.
The activity strengthened the Champions’ working relationships with members of the media and Health Promotion Officers, enabling them to use the media for advocacy by amplifying voices to improve #WASH and promote #safemotherhood at their healthcare facilities.
Wishing all our stakeholders warm season's greetings! Thank you for the great support in 2025. Looking forward to partnering with you in 2026 as we continue to advocate for women and girls to realize their right to quality health and well-being.
All over the news!

Huge thanks to @MargueritePaffard for the support!

#Mothersday2025 aligns perfectly with Women’s Health Campaign, a reminder of the vital bond between women facility users, nurses, & midwives in ensuring respectful & dignified maternity care. Let’s keep strengthening partnerships & advocacy for better WASH & dignified care.
New month, another WASH & MNCH milestone!
With @WaterAidMalawi, we trained 271 women facility maternity user structures & health workers in Kasungu, Ntchisi & Mangochi- equipping them with advocacy tools to tackle poor WASH, a key driver of Malawi’s high MMR (381/100,000).
The participants were divided into two groups: one for multi-cadre healthcare worker maternity section teams, and another comprising selected influential community structures, including VDCs, ADCs, Chiefs, and Mother Care Groups.
The training sessions were held in Kasungu, Ntchisi, and Mangochi, where participants were equipped with advocacy tools, including WASH standards in healthcare facilities, storytelling, public speaking, facility-level accountability, & roles and responsibilities of duty bearers.
