Read DATA FIX-ATION, a new zine from our Academic Complicity Work Group.
We hope it's a helpful resource for resisting data-related police reforms, especially reforms that are promoted as benign "study" "transparency" or "bias reduction."

Turn out this Friday to City Council (in Van Nuys) to say NO to Olympic building exemptions!!!!
As members of the @NOlympicsLA coalition, we’re extremely concerned that the city is considering streamlining a bunch of building projects for a purportedly “no-build Olympics.” bit.ly/4ibLMaE

You can share written comment around this disastrous exemption via the link below, or IRL Friday morning at 10am in Van Nuys.

The EEOC’s decision to drop trans discrimination cases is yet another reminder that the systems in place were never built to protect us. Our survival is an act of resistance, and we’ll continue to fight for a world where trans and gender non-conforming people are free 🩵🩷🤍

#AB1178 is a police secrecy grab that will endanger our communities.
Call the Democrats who introduced this dangerous and repressive bill to demand they end their support:

Police have been trotting out that website as evidence of “verified death threats” for over 27 years. Here’s a news article about them doing it in 1998: laweekly.com/cops-battle-lap….
That website is obviously satire, but @CityAttorneyLA cited it as a "verified" threat in 2023:

These four Democrats led by @AsmPacheco just introduced a bill to create a vast SECRET POLICE within California law enforcement agencies.
#AB1178 will shroud thousands of local police officers in full secrecy, erasing their names from all public records: leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f…
