Introducing the Goblintown Shweepshtakes, a six-week, on-chain sweepstakes event with proceeds going back to buying the 1.2x Goblins in the GobStrategy Treasury to keep pushing that flywheel of burning Goblintown NFTs, $gob coin, and $gobstr token humming along.

The Gen2 1 of 1's retrofitted into the OG @Goblintown collection was unintentionally inspired by @wruffee.
He reached out to us asking if any of the character visuals on our banner (that were not in the Goblintown Collection) would ever make their way on-chain so he could get the Saskwitch. At the time, the answer was no.
That led us down a path of thinking about introducing these and more characters into the original Goblintown collection in what has become the Goblintown Shweepshtakes.
Well, @wruffee really wanted to win and bought a lot of tikits. In fact, he had a 1/3 chance of winning. And, he obviously doesn't know this, but when we were testing the "selectRandomWinner” feature on the contract after submissions closed on Monday we ran 5 tests just on Heppy and his wallet won 4 out of the 5 times.
Anyways, he did not win and was bummed. The person that did win, we knew nothing about as they didn't have anything else in their wallet and it wasn't linked to any obvious accounts (ENS, transferring between an account with more identity,etc).
Well...that person WETH'd Heppy yesterday and @884_NFT picked it up.
We reached out to @884_NFT and told him that we would like to buy it to gift it to @wruffee. He was an absolute legend and we cut a deal. Heppy is now in @wruffee's wallet. The end.

What’s going on with Goblintown?
The team launched GobStrategy, using their 1% allocation from GOBSTR to buy and burn Goblintown NFTs listed for 1.2x along with the 500,000 $GOB tokens tied to each one.
The result? The collection dropped from 10,000 to around 9,600, meaning roughly 400 goblins have already been burned (?).
This move makes 3 assets deflationary at once:
→ Goblintown NFTs
→ $GOB token
→ $GOBSTR strategy token
Only the team can burn for now, but they’ve said it’ll pass 10% burned by next week.
@goblintown just became one of the first NFT ecosystems to go fully deflationary.

Forged from the darkness juice extracted from an ancient people, leaving them to devolve for thousands of years.
It formerly took shape as a massive battle axe in the hands of Pumplescroob the almighty, but imbuing him with too much power and the enemy vanquished, pumplscroob roamed the countryside mating with everything in site.
Deciding it was too much darkness for any one creature - the blade was disassembled and the pieces hidden.
The darkness sponge remained forgotten until in a modern goblintown- a human presence assembled the ancient force to become the one known as lord buttbat, lord of the buttbats.
The blade is sentient, has a dry sense of humor - and eats burgers.
