Okay, here’s the long-awaited top 8 breakdown for Guilty Gear Strive and Street Fighter 6 from last weekend’s -amazing- STRIVE STREET event! More to come in the following post, but sadly, this will be the final post on this account. 🧵

Now, the post to end it all…on Twitter. This place has long been toxic, but ever since the management changeover, it has become a hotbed of hatred and hostility the likes of which were once semi-relegated to 4chan and Kiwi Farms. We want no part of that.

So, effective immediately, you can find us on Bluesky. We’re abandoning the dumpster fire formerly known as Twitter. We hope you do the same. Stay safe. bsky.app/profile/wnfc.bsky.s… ❤️

I worked an 8 hrs shift today on register and made $168, before taxes. I rung up $3500+ in sales in those 8 hrs in my little cafe with no seating in south Brooklyn. I will remember this during bargaining tomorrow.

Over the weekend, Strive Street was held at the Burlington Beer Company for an all out Street Fighter and Guilty Gear Strive battle! Huge shoutout to the @WNightFightClub for making this possible! Thank you to everyone who came!

In the very near future, WNFC will be shutting down all operations on Twitter. This place wasn’t great to start with, and has only become worse since changing ownership hands. Find us on Bluesky. In the meantime, please enjoy the VOD of yesterday’s event. Link in the next tweet.

Because less educated people ask fewer questions, and are therefore much easier to either manipulate, convince, or outright control. Critical thinking is antithetical to a totalitarian ideology. but what do I know, I just play fighting games in Vermont

Gonna receive some side eye for this. Saying this when Gundam EXVS *IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE MECHANICALLY SUPERIOR ARENA FIGHTER* is downright angering. Saying “Sparking Zero should be at EVO” is like saying “competitively smashing Hot Wheels cars together should be at EVO.”

After weighing all the pros and cons, I can’t think of a solid reason why Dragon Ball Sparking zero shouldn’t be at Evo 2025.

Sparking Zero is a fighting game for people that don’t feel confident enough to play actual fighting games. There’s nothing wrong with that, but that doesn’t buy it a slot on stage alongside actual fighting games. No one asks for freestyle BMX with training wheels at the X Games.
