RIP Hockey Night in Canada
1952-2026
Spent practically every Saturday Night of my childhood watching HNIC with my Grandpa.

In other words, the church should be able to proclaim forgiveness for degenerate behavior while also shaming such behavior, but because we refuse to do the latter, we are failing to be taken seriously with the former.
As much as it hurts to lose, these have to be 3 of the most iconic photos in the history of the sport.
A perfect representation of the sport at its absolute best. Pure grit, pure skill, pure heart, pure patriotism.
The Americans got their moment.
Congrats Boys

This RCC critique of Protestantism always bewilders me.
Within RCC are many more divisions than within Protestantism. The Jesuits are completely different from the Cathusians, not to mention the Benedictines.
The Latin church that produced Francis is entirely contrary to the Western church that produced Benedict. And this is all before you get to Trad Catholics, Latin Mass hardliners, and the sedevacantists.
Reformed Prots have much more unity with Pentecostals than Latin Rome does with Western Rome.

This is the suicide of my nation. Immigrant, 40+ arrests in Alberta, comes to BC and stabs 2 people causing 1 to loose a finger. 4 years to prosecute, sentenced to 7 years, with lenient time served rules he will be out of prison in less than a year.

*sigh*
• Utah doesn’t use a coroner, they use a state medical examiner.
• Medical examiner reports are withheld from the public during criminal cases, ESPECIALLY an active capital homicide investigation. This is standard practice.
• Death certificates are issued, but certified copies are restricted and don’t become public for 50 years. This is normal.
• He had a huge memorial/funeral service at State Farm Stadium.
• His grave is his family’s personal information. Can you not think of a million reasons why his resting place would remain private at this moment? Think about it.
• Ballistics are private during an active investigation in accordance with Utah’s GRAMA, not sure why this surprises anybody.
• And yes. His WIFE has taken over his business matters. The person closest to him on the entire planet. The woman he married before God and had children with.
Conspiracy culture, pray for a cure.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

"You are going to hear a rumor one day that Voddie Baucham is no more. Don't you believe it! Don't you believe it. Don't you believe it. Because though I die I will rise with Christ."
Voddie Baucham preaching through tears about his eventual death.
In what universe is this person credible, on any topic?

We've all as evangelicals had conversations with catholics claiming that all the saints of Church history belong to them.
RCs claiming Charlie was praying the rosary and on the verge of converting should cause us to not take such claims at face value.

This is a fireable offense. She's not up to the task.
AG Pam Bondi: "There's free speech, and then there's hate speech. And there is no place, especially now, especially after what happened to Charlie, in our society. We will absolutely target you, go after you, if you are targeting anyone with hate speech."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The First Amendment has no “hate speech” exception. Hate speech is protected unless it falls into another unprotected category: incitement (Brandenburg), true threats (Virginia v. Black), fighting words (Chaplinsky), or defamation (NYT v. Sullivan). constitution.congress.gov/constitution/a…
Loved most of what JD said. VERY CONCERNED he said this. "The worst punishment we can give Charlie's killer is NOT the death penalty but the knowledge that his mission goes on."

🚨 BREAKING: JD Vance powerfully concludes hosting the Charlie Kirk Show for 2.5 hours by asking Americans to call the employers of those celebrating Charlie's assassination and to "put on the full armor of God."
"Shine the light of truth like a torch in the very darkest places. GO DO IT."
"Let all of us put on that armor and commit ourselves to that cause for which Charlie gave his life, to rebuild a United States of America and to do it by telling the truth."
"So when you see someone celebrating Charlie's murder, call them out. Hell, call their employer. We don't believe in political violence, but we do believe in civility. And there is no civility in the celebration of political assassination. Get involved. It's the best way to honor Charlie's legacy."
"Start a chapter of TPUSA or get involved in the one that already exists. If you're older, volunteer for your local party, write an op-ed in your local paper, run for office. I can't promise you this is going to be easy. I can't promise you that all of us will avoid Charlie's fate. I can't promise you that I will avoid Charlie's fate."
"We owe it to our friend to ensure that his killer is not just prosecuted but punished - and the worst punishment is not the death penalty, but the knowledge that Charlie's mission continues after he's gone."
