The judge in the Clancy case needs to hold contempt of court hearings for the nurse jurors who reportedly ignored expert witness testimony and brought in external information (who could possibly understand the information without an external background lecture from nurses on the jury), rather than relying on expert witness testimony, and then used that to attempt to bully a juror into agreeing with them.

The function of the Mercator map was to enable safe sailing and trade
By stretching the poles, you can draw a line between any two points (any two sea ports) and the angle with respect to north will be constant
This was called a rhumb line: it’s longer than the shortest line that travels a globe, but you can calculate it very easy
This was very useful when it was extremely hard to calculate longitude and ships often got lost.
With the Mercator projection, you can just calculate your rhumb line and, even if you get blown off course, you know roughly what angle to be traveling in, so you can find your way
This is long outdated technology, but it was extremely important in its day.
The new “Equal-area Projection” serves no such practical purpose. It exists to soothe neurotic liberals who are upset that Africa isn’t large enough on Mercator and that this distortion is harmful to Africa
Its adoption reflects an affluent society where the underlying purpose of things is forgotten and the only function left is for objects to be symbols that signal belief (liberal beliefs)

The Lindsay Clancy case is a perfect example of the deadly consequences of closing down psychiatric hospitals in America.
There are some people who simply need to be separated from the rest of society where they’re not a danger to themselves and everyone else around them.
Not everything can be solved with drugs.

The average Canadian has never looked at a map of their own country.
Line 9, which supplies nearly all of Ontario and Quebec with their oil, runs through the United States before re-entering Canada through Southern Ontario.
Years ago, the Canadians had an opportunity to build a new pipeline named Energy East that would have supplied Eastern Canada and the Maritimes with Albertan oil without entering the US.
The Liberals killed the project.
Shutting off Canadian energy to America means shutting off energy to Ontario and Quebec too.
So congratulations on destroying your own country and ruining whatever leverage you had. I'm sure it made you all feel morally superior at the time though, so maybe it was worth it.
The average American has no clue Canada can flip off a switch and the power would be off in NY, New England, Minnesota, and Washington.
Canada also supplies 99% US Natural gas.
Also, the average Canadian has no idea that the US could take over Canada in less than a week.
