We take this day, Juneteenth, to remember the past, take note of where we are today and remind ourselves how far we still have to go to reach equity within our world. Help us commemorate the observance and celebrate Freedom Day.

Our #cuneiform tablet is among the oldest items in our collections. We used a 3D scanner and printer to replicate the tablet this summer. We now have 3D-printed versions so students can manipulate it without fear of damage to the original. @WMULibraries #SpecialCollections

WMU's MDVL 6000 class visited Chicago's Newberry library, where they were treated to wonderful instruction by Christopher Fletcher. It was fabulous to explore some of the Newberry manuscripts, such as this 15th century Flemish gem (MS 55.5). Thank you! #wmumedieval @WMULibraries
