This dude needs to write books. The Brewers were widely picked below 90 wins this year, and many suggested 3rd in the division. I'd love to bottle and sell Murph's magic.
I do tons of home projects and just sort of fell into the Ryobi wireless tool ecosystem, well before I knew all the trash people talk about it. And while I do own some high performance tools that outclass Ryobi, for 95% of stuff, those green machines work just fine.
And after YEARS of moderate use for many of them, I've NEVER had one fail.
I tend to give LaFleur the benefit of the doubt, but man...
On the other hand, the line is wholly depleted, we don't have our feature back, Parsons is still out, something like 25% of our cap hit isn't playing...tough ask for any coach.

I didn't read all this because if, you're in media (even opinion media) and this is your mindset, you're worthless to me. Conservative media is increasingly deciding its responsible for our reaction to truth over simple truth.

Yesterday, Iowa House Republicans were informed by their own pollsters that if you are in a +15 district you’re within the margin for error, if you’re in a +10 district you’re underwater, and that this might end being an even worse midterm environment than 2006.
I slept on whether to share this publicly, because I don’t want to cause anyone to black pill. But this morning I ultimately decided the truth should be shared while there is still six weeks left to do something about it for the good of the country.
Because if the environment is this bad in my home state, where Trump has been the most popular political figure over the last decade, I can’t imagine where it is everywhere else.
Whatever we’re doing or not doing in Iran/Hormuz has become a 2020 Covid lockdown level of political albatross. This is approaching TARP bailout levels of unpopular in my home state. We are risking what’s left of the Trump presidency on this, because if Democrats take control the legislative branch the Trump domestic agenda we all voted for will largely cease between what a Democrat Congress will do and the courts have already been doing. Not to mention what it will cost individual states like my own, which we have worked so hard to make so red these last 20 years (with Trump’s help).
This whatever/kinda/sorta/but not really war has become an existential misuse of political capital. Many of us never thought it was worth it, and more and more it appears voters agree. We have to save our own country and our own way of life first before we can save anyone else. We have to save America before we can save the world. If a plane is endangered, you are told to put on your mask first otherwise you’re of no use to help save anyone else.
I desperately want us to win. I desperately want this presidency to fulfill all the great promise it had coming out of the 2024 election. But whatever this currently is, isn’t it. We don’t have to just sit here and take the L. It doesn’t have to end this way. We can still win. There’s plenty of ammunition to hammer the Democrats with.
We need the president out on the stump asap. We need better and way more aggressive messaging. Stop running fake and gay ads about how often so-and-so shows up for votes, and instead mercilessly hammer Democrats on the wickedness they’re voting for. Articulate specifically what the mission/victory is in Iran/Hormuz, because out here in the cheap seats it feels like another Middle East War quagmire regular folks are paying for on both ends all over again.
And for heaven’s sake, make sure Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas are getting the finest healthcare in America.

These are Ju-87 “Stuka” dive bombers.
Dive bombers had some kind of drag devices to prevent getting too fast when you point the nose down. That noise, though…that’s different.
Stukas mounted ram-air sirens on some models, and this has become a sound you hear in movies & such when an airplane dives. In reality, a jet will make some noise in a dive, but not like this. This is the sirens, mounted on the landing gear, doing their things. The Germans called them “Jericho’s Trumpets”.
There is some debate as to why this was done. Some say it was to give the pilot audible feedback on their speed, but the most commonly accepted explanation is that it was a propaganda / psychological warfare tool. It frightened troops & civilians on the ground & became a symbol of German air power.
Not all Stukas had the sirens mounted. In fact, many Stuka pilots hated the sirens & removed them. By 1943, they weren’t being used much anymore.
The sirens themselves had little wooden propellors that made the sound, and the pilots could clutch / de-clutch them from the cockpit.
As I said, by 1943 the sirens were out of favor, but many Stuka units had replaced them with wind-whistles they mounted to the bombs themselves. Once again, Hollywood loves to add that whistling sound to bombs in the movies, but in real life bombs don’t whistle unless they were modified to do so…and the Stukas were the last airplanes I know of that mounted the whistles.

The crux of the White House press pass issue will ultimately boil down to whether or not revocation of a credential by the government is a 1st Amendment violation when based on a reaction to protected speech.
I suspect the White House would be on better legal standing had they revoked everyone's access and proceeded to host invite only pressers, but we'll have to see where this lands.
The Acosta case didn't work out favorably for them.
