On Friday October 20, 35 of our middle school students, grades 5-8,  attended the Southern Festival of Books at the Tennessee State Library complex. They attended two presentations by multi award winning authors Carl Hiassen and Donna Barbra Higuera.

How can I/we design and create a hotel in Minecraft Education? Ever wanted to create your own hotel? Your challenge is to design and build that space! Visit Hotel Build Ideas for more info. You can use any Minecraft Education world to build your hotel in. You can submit individually or as a group (limit 3 members). Your submission MUST INCLUDE: • a slate, poster, or board with your name(s), school, & teacher near hotel entrance/lobby • a tour of your hotel (for groups each member should help voice over) • lobby area • outdoor and indoor decorations • guest rooms • amenities (examples: pool, food court) Note: You and/or your group get to determine all other aspects of your hotel!
