Of course we will; it's a sure bet at least one of them will say something reprehensible about this...
Are we going to hear anything from the @RochesterChambr @BobDuffyROC @ROCLocustClub @Sheriff_Baxter regarding President Trump' pardoning all the attackers on America January 6th and the Law Enforcement who protected the capital? FYI @news10 @13WHAM @News_8 @DandC @WXXINews

Congratulations to Sarah and her team on her new leadership position in state assembly!
I am honored and excited to take on this new leadership position as Chair of our Majority Conference. I look forward to working with my colleagues as we roll ups our sleeves and get to work this legislative session. Thank you Speaker @CarlHeastie for this opportunity to lead.

Back from a brief holiday hiatus to deliver to you the BREAKING NEWS that shortly ago, Mayor Evans signed the Good Cause eviction protections into law. Rochester tenants now have, for the first time, basic protections against wrongful eviction and extortionate rent increases!!!

We're proud to have many of the people who made this happen as chapter members. Without the work of activists like Lisle Coleman, Oscar Brewer, Ryan Acuff and many others our friends on city council would have been outvoted and the full version of Good Cause wouldn't have passed

Good thing our @WorkingFamilies -backed council members were there to make sure the strongest version of Good Cause passed over the objections of establishment politicians like Patterson and Harris
In voting no, councilmember Michael Patterson said good cause would put too much power in the courts, and likened to other policies he sees as faulty, including bail reform and raise the age. LaShay Harris referred to the bill as "the path to socialism"

This is outrageous
When Robert O'Shaughnessy retired in May, he had racked up over $100,000 in overtime pay. Coupled with two other top-paid-officer years, his pension outweighs his salary by more than $50,000. This story explores the continued cost of RPD overtime. wxxinews.org/local-news/2024…

If you're going to kick Good Cause back for another MONTH and allow countless additional people who would've had protections get evicted (in Rochester, in DECEMBER) you better have a good reason. Council Pres. @MMelendez86 does not have anything approaching a good enough reason

For those who've forgotten, @PamBondi is the woman who shut down Florida's investigations into Trump's fraudulent business activities after he sent $25,000 her way

We're sharing this flyer direct from our allies at @RocTenantUnion to ask anyone free on November 26th at 5pm to come to Rochester City Hall, for a rally they're putting on supporting Good Cause eviction protections! Either way, please repost this on any feeds you have as well!

Perhaps @GovKathyHochul IS going to try to block Trump's deportations, and her plan is just secret. Because she realized, what's the point in having so much power if you can't use it for good? (Or maybe she immediately called Trump to grovel and preemptively capitulate instead)

This week has been hard. But we are pleased to report that @WFP_ROC successfully defended every one of our allies in the state legislature who faced challenges locally, helped flip a crucial house seat in syracuse and the @NYWFP received enough votes to retain our ballot line

We have a long, painful fight ahead. There will be time to figure out how we move forward nationally (and that probably can't happen til Americans realize that Republicans have no intention of ever allowing another free national election) But we have to start at the local level

So for folks in Rochester who are feeling a bit lost right now, there's a party here that isn't going to take your support for granted, and we have a big, big year ahead in local politics. The @NYWFP isn't giving up, neither is its Rochester chapter; and we've got work to do!
