I have been requested to speak about race and policing at an overwhelmingly rate lately. Check out my Ted talk for starters. I’m ready for more dialogue and learning.
How To Build Bridges Over Your Bias | Wayland Cubit | TEDxOklahomaCity youtu.be/_U5JOIx-XqI via @YouTube
Listen OKC! What does it look like when police officers and members of the Black community explore black history together?
What kind of discussion would they have? Well the Oklahoma Justice Circle made that happen!
Join us on Feb 25th for lunch at metro tech okc.
This is a very special endorsement from a person who has witnessed my service to our community. Thanks @JD__Baker
Honored to endorse my friend, @WCubit Sheriff for Oklahoma County. He’s a man of integrity, honesty and compassion. His experience translates into effective, people-first policies in our county’s policing. Wayland will always have our backs: Vote Wayland Cubit tomorrow. 🗳️

We need leaders in law enforcement who understand accountability is what we do FOR PEOPLE, not what we do to people. #cubitforsheriff #Vote2024 #LeadershipMatters

"A leader needs to know about the cycle of addiction and how supply and demand works. I was an undercover cop, and we dealt with crack. Our solution was enforcement, enforcement, enforcement. Fentanyl is everything that crack was, plus death." — @WCubit nondoc.com/2024/10/30/oklaho…

OK Justice Circle, OKC leaders meet to combat chronic absenteeism. oklahoman.com/story/news/loc…
Honored to speak at the Peace Conference to talk about how chronic absenteeism and criminal Justice are intertwined. I understand this and care about it. Let’s keep them in school, out of the criminal Justice system. The Sheriff should take this seriously. #cubitforsheriff
Check out my Op-Ed. Let’s have a conversation about Transformative Policing In Oklahoma County. #cubitforsheriff

“The people that are leaders on your team have to be committed to doing things the right way."
Leadership isn't about establishing rules.
Leadership is about setting standards.
Leadership isn’t about telling people what to do. It’s about showing them what excellence looks like.

We need leaders who not only talk about what needs to be done but do the work that needs to be done. Thanks @BLeTheMic for working with me to years to make our community safer. Thanks for the endorsement! #cubitforsheriff @OSUAthletics
