West Brom fan and birder, struggling to decide which is the more depressing

Both of those challenges were idiotic. No excuse.

There is a chance neither goal would have stood in the Prem. But the injustice felt after their first improved atmosphere, helped the game flow. On our goal they could have checked for 5 mins if it was high foot and it’s purely subjective. Football’s so much better without VAR.

I never knew Bill Oddie was an Albion fan. Rightly so!
No. He supported WBA.

I think that is close to sackable from Tuchel. A coach appointed at great expense for his tactical acumen and "ability to get over the line" needlessly forces England miles from it. All that money... for that?

Quite simply, he bottled it. I’m absolutely fuming.

I would sack Tuchel instantly. Unforgivable to surrender in a World Cup semi final. Against Croatia we scored and brought on Rashford to exploit space, and totally stopped pressing. Awful. Bottled it.

Strong agree. While the rules are farcical, and don’t get me started on a comparison with Chelsea’s punishment, we know the rules and it is astounding that we are in this position. It’s a screw up that’s on the ownership. Between that and Ramsey, total dereliction of duty.
I’m no financial expert, ( despite an A Level in Accounting, strange but true) I’m staggered in this literal Russian Roulette of making sure every angle is covered so a points deduction is never an option against us, that no one checked/clarified Lai’s loan still affecting us?!?

Had to win that game. Dike played well but should have scored that header. They then get one off the shoulder. Bad luck, but that’s what happens when you don’t take what chances come to you. The amount of xG wins we have had this season is astounding.

I’ve never seen anyone look less like a leader than Eric Ramsay. We need someone players would run through a brick wall for, Ramsay has the permanent look of someone who has just had his lunch money stolen.

Robert Aramayo is undeniably brilliant in I Swear. Good choice #BAFTA

Seeing the reaction to some of the “heckling” from John Davidson. People with Tourette’s shout things involuntarily, that they know are the worst things they could say in that situation. It absolutely does not mean they are being racist. People should watch I Swear. #baftas

Albion got 18 points from the last 9 home games under Ryan Mason, losing one. Things weren’t great, but this collapse was not on the cards and is one totally of the Board’s making. If Ramsay is in charge for another week we are down. I fear the damage has already been done. #wba

Really odd the reaction to a couple of 0-0 draws, especially the Stoke game. We are now pathetically grateful that we aren’t getting thrashed? #wba

I got brickbats for saying it was harsh to fire Mason when the players were clearly playing for him. It doesn't reflect well on them, but there is human nature in being deflated when a boss that you liked is fired. Re Mason - I think our fans overestimate the talent in our squad.
I never really buy into the whole “players aren’t trying” or “they’ve downed tools” or “they don’t care” stuff. It’s usually just fans trying to cope with having a shit team of honest but poor players But that West Brom side today wasn’t trying, had downed tools and didn’t care

How to relegate a team from the Championship. Appoint an inexperienced manager. Fire him. Appoint another inexperienced manager. Kill morale by his management speak. Randomly sign players no better than you have and put them straight into the team. Play others out of position.

Things were poor under Mason but the players hadn’t given up. Clearly they aren’t buying what Ramsay is selling. And I’m not surprised. It’s a cross between Amorim and Nancy. Celtic gave him 8 games. That would be four games too many for Ramsay.

Our subs have really changed the game. And not in the way we would have wanted. Seem to have no way of getting on the ball, let alone creating a chance.

So who fancies Carrow Road in the cup?

It’s almost like setting up a team with a back 7 at home against a side below you in the table wasn’t the best idea.
