For years the feds failed to fulfill their promise of canceling debt for borrowers working in public service. We're glad to see this change, and look forward to a day where no one is forced to take on a lifetime of debt in the first place.
Let's take a look at some of this year's legislative victories for higher education! We are extremely excited to know that these investments will help support and empower students in thier pursuit of post-secondary education. {CONT. BELOW}

Investment in the #PellGrant program is crucial for students and, last night, @POTUS agreed. It's time to get it back to where it was 40 years ago. #DoublePell #UC4Pell #SOTU

Best testimony tonight! @RepDrewHansen Dog, Bentley, for people going to college and getting jobs to take care of themselves and their families. FAFSA numbers are miserable in WA. 1835 will be a game chamber. #waleg #dogs4college

BREAKING: my bill to boost FAFSA completion (financial aid forms, how Wash. students get $) just passed Wash. House Appropriations UNANIMOUSLY.
Wash. is always #49 of 50 states in FAFSA completion rates (!!), so families don’t get all the $ they could. That’s about to change!!
Just a few examples of some incredible student testimonies shared this week in support of HB 1659, HB 1736, and HB 1835!!
📣Come textbank with Washington students tomorrow, encouraging legislators to support the passage of HB 1659, expanding the Washington College Grant! Feb 2nd from 10am-2pm, come for part or all! Sign up at tinyurl.com/WSAText22

We’re nearing the end of a long day in House Appropriations, featuring a GREAT bill by Chair @SlatterVandana to expand the Wash. College Grant to more students/add $1K “Bridge Grants” to help with food, bus, etc.
