🇱🇧🇮🇷 When people ask who backs Hezbollah, the answer isn't mysterious; it's Iran.
They built them, fund them, rearm them, and train them.
Over the past few months, Hezbollah has been drawing on a monthly budget of about $50 million, most of it from Iran, to pay fighters and rebuild stockpiles. They have been replenishing rockets and drones with help from Iran while also trying to manufacture some weapons locally inside Lebanon.
And the money is not just arriving in neat suitcases marked “Tehran.”
According to the U.S. Treasury, Hezbollah’s finance apparatus has moved funds from Iran through licensed and unlicensed money exchanges, while also generating revenue through covert business dealings, including the sale of Iranian oil and other goods.
U.S. agencies have repeatedly tied Hezbollah-linked networks to money laundering, shadow banking, and commercial fronts. But those streams don't replace Iran, they supplement it; Tehran remains the spine.
Then there's the training.
This is where the relationship stops looking like sponsorship and starts looking like direct management. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards stepped in after Hezbollah’s 2024 losses, sent officers to retrain fighters, oversaw rearmament, and even helped reshape command structures that had been penetrated.
While Hezbollah is a Lebanese group, it's also one of Iran’s most important foreign power projects.
Its ideology may wear Lebanese colors, but its payroll, weapons pipeline, and training all lead back to Tehran.

Her name is Rohini Sindhuri.
She is a 2009 batch IAS officer posted in Karnataka.
In 2018, she was the District Collector of Hassan. She discovered illegal sand mining happening every night from the rivers in her district. She stopped it.
Local politicians were furious. They went to the Chief Minister.
Within days, she was transferred out of Hassan.
She fought it in the Karnataka High Court. The court ruled her transfer was illegal and ordered the government to reinstate her.
The government reinstated her.
Then transferred her again.
She went back to court. She kept going back to court every single time the system tried to silence her.
Between 2018 and 2023, she was transferred seven times. Each transfer came within weeks of her exposing something.
She never stopped working. She never stopped filing cases. She never stopped showing up.
India has a system where honesty is punished with transfers. Rohini Sindhuri refused to accept that as her final answer.
She is still in service today.

A MIT professor taught the same lecture every January for 40 years, and every single time it was standing room only.
I watched it at 2am and it completely rewired how I think about communication.
His name was Patrick Winston. The lecture is called "How to Speak."
His opening line hit like a truck: your success in life will be determined largely by your ability to speak, your ability to write, and the quality of your ideas in that order.
Not your GPA. Not your pedigree. Not your IQ. How you speak is what separates people who get heard from people who get ignored.
Here's the framework he drilled into MIT students for four decades.
He said never start with a joke. Start by telling people exactly what they're going to learn. Prime the pump before you pour anything in. He called it the "empowerment promise" give people a reason to stay in their seats within the first 60 seconds.
Then he broke down the 5S rule for making ideas stick: Symbol, Slogan, Surprise, Salient, and Story. Every idea worth remembering hits at least three of these.
The part that floored me was his "near miss" technique. Don't just show what's right show what almost looks right but isn't. That contrast is when the brain actually locks something in permanently.
His final rule before any big talk: end with a contribution, not a summary. Don't recap what you said. Tell people what you gave them that they didn't have before they walked in.
I've used this framework in pitches, interviews, and presentations ever since watching it, and the results are not subtle.
Patrick Winston passed away in 2019, but this lecture is still free on MIT OpenCourseWare. One hour, watched by millions, and it costs absolutely nothing.
The most important class MIT ever put on the internet isn't about code or math. It's about how to make people actually listen to you.

I have not seen a single mainstream media outlet give this the attention it deserves.
Israel blew up an entire Lebanese town, an ancient place. It should be headline news. There’s footage of it happening.
Imagine this was your town, and you saw every building blown up by a terrorist army to prevent you from ever returning. You would at the very least expect wall to wall coverage. Instead it passes without a word.
It’s not the only town Israel has blown up. And sadly it probably won’t be the last.

In a landmark judgement, the honourable First Additional District and Sessions Judge of Madurai, G Muthukumaran pronounced death penalty for all nine policemen in the Jeyaraj and Beniks custodial torture and death case.
Inspector S Sridhar, sub-inspectors P Ragu Ganesh & K Balakrishnan, head constables S Murugan and A Samidurai and constables M Muthuraja, S Veil Muthu, S Chelladurai & X Thomas Francis have all been found guilty of the double murder.
On 19th June 2020, Jeyaraj went to his son’s mobile shop in at Sathankulam in Thoothukudi. Police arrested him for violating Covid rules.
Following the father’s arrest, Beniks went to the police station and requested for his father’s release. Beniks apparently had an argument with the cops. They arrested him also and tortured him and his father through the night and later sent to judicial remand.
Beniks died at Kovilapatti Government Hospital on 22nd June, 2020, and Jeyaraj passed away the next day.
The investigation later revealed that the mobile shop wasn’t open beyond the permissible hours. Basically a false case was slapped.
Later, a female constable, Revathi came forward to tell the truth of their torture. Not only were the son & the father beaten brutally throughout the night but were also made to clean up their blood off the police station floor and walls with their clothes.
Beniks sustained 13 external injuries and Jeyaraj had 17 wounds that ultimately led to their deaths. They were bleeding from their rectums when they were sent to jail!!!
Following a huge social media uproar and protests, there was pressure on the then Tamil Nadu government to conduct a fair investigation into their deaths.
If you go through the whole case, you will realise that 59 year old Jeyraj and 31 year old Beniks were killed purely because the ego of the policemen was hurt.
They were angry that Beniks questioned why his father was arrested and being beaten up.
Family of the victims hope this will be a lesson to all policemen who think they can get away with any crime.
But unfortunately in our country most police don’t play by the rules. It is either their ego or orders from above or corruption that drives them. Hoping for better policing and a system that stands for victims, especially the voiceless ones.

On Easter, of all days, we as Christians should be reminded that the son of God died and rose from the grave so that we can be forgiven once and for all of our sins. Jesus commanded us to love one another and forgive one another. Even our enemies.
Our President is not a Christian and his words and actions should not be supported by Christians.
Christians in the administration should be pursuing peace. Urging the President to make peace.
Not escalating war that is hurting people.
This NOT what we promised the American people when they overwhelmingly voted in 2024, I know, I was there more than most.

🇺🇸 A Boeing E-6 Mercury, a U.S. Navy airborne command-and-control and communications-relay aircraft, departed from Oklahoma and is currently flying east over the Atlantic.
The aircraft plays a key role in the U.S. nuclear command chain, ensuring that orders can reach nuclear forces even if ground systems are degraded.
The flight could be related to the test launch of an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile earlier today.
