Two key figures from the NASL Sounders era, Mike England & Pepe Fernandez, are on the current Eternal Sounders Circle of Legends ballot. Here's Mike congratulating Pepe for his '75 winner vs Denver and also for battling back from a broken leg. Cast your votes by Nov. 7. #TBT
Monday marks Canadian Thanksgiving, and many amongst you will remember the days of WA's Canadian Exchange, which began in 1963. Teams traveled from Puget Sound to the Vancouver area (and vice versa) each spring, mixing play with staying in hosts' homes. True friendlies. #TBT
You wait in line, work up the nerve to utter your request and then years later see your momento – but struggle to recognize the signature. So what's your autograph story? #TBT
This Saturday is global Save Your Photos Day, highlighting the critical need to preserve both digital and physical photographs. Got some soccer photos in your family trove? Consider sharing them with WA Legends. Who knows, maybe they'll someday be featured on #TBT
It's fair to say that Seattle's never seen such an infusion of new soccer bobbleheads as 2026. The Sounders will issue three (C. Roldan, Morris and de la Vega). The Reign, who first gave us Hope Solo in 2017, are offering a Jess Fishlock bobble on Oct. 2. Who should be next? #TBT
WA is represented by 4 players at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, including Medina's Alex Buck, a Washington junior, and the Reign's Emeri Adames, Ainsley McCammon and Evan O'Steen. At the 2016 U20 World Cup, the U.S. coach was our own Michelle French, a former YNT captain. #TBT
Amputee soccer was first organized by Mercer Island's Don Bennett in 1985. In 1986, the first international tournament was played in cities around Puget Sound. Seattle has hosted the Amputee Football World Cup nine times. The 20th World Cup will be held in Mexico in November.#TBT
Perhaps the only thing more difficult than winning a championship is repeating. Seattle Pacific was the first NCAA D2 men's team to do so, in 1986. When the Falcons open their season Saturday at Interbay vs. Chico State, they will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of that feat. #TBT
Forty-five years after winning the Coca-Cola Skills contest, they're in the Kingdome's dim limelight once again. Hundred-percent chance those two-stripe kits came from Denzil's. Recognize anyone? Name names! #TBT
Women's play began this week for NCAA Div. I, with D2 following next week and D3 soon after. The dream is always to play into December, and in 2005 Seattle Pacific did just that. Here's D2 national player of the year Shannon Lovejoy maneuvering in the championship final. #TBT

This weekend the Mariners mark their 50th season with a series of celebrations. To date, a dozen or so Sounders, Reign and national team players have served a ceremonial first pitch for the M's, with the first being Sigi Schmid in 2009. #TBT
Most of Washington's collegiate programs have either begun or soon will congregate for preseason training. Our #TBT image today comes from the Central Washington Observer and practices on the eve of the Wildcats' first women's varsity season, in 1987.

Folks, this is how you diehards watched a World Cup final 48 years ago, on a murky screen, in a concrete edifice, at a cost of what would be $50 in today's dollars. #TBT
What began as our march before that very first Sounders MLS match, has now grown exponentially. After 15,000 strode the streets of Seattle for the USA-Australia World Cup game on Juneteenth, the number swelled to an estimated 25,000 for Monday's USA-Belgium knockout. #TBT
