Freedom Browser creates an alternative vision for what the open web could be: user-owned, peer-to-peer, non-custodial, self-sovereign, private, secure, open-source, censorship resistant.
When Apple released its browser in January 2003 , the web was dominated by Microslop's Internet Explorer. Steve's vision was do call their browser "Freedom". 23 years later, it's finally happening.

We have extra tix for Common S3nse @CryptoCanal.
The obvious protocol: reply → receive ticket → show up.
Swarm is sponsoring the hackathon. @rakymnft is speaking on decentralized media as infrastructure for resistance.
Don't resist.

You generate 50–100 GB of personal content in your entire lifetime.
Photos, messages, documents - everything you have intentionally created and stored.
Data brokers hold 50–100 GB of profile data about you right now. Up to 10,000 attributes per person. Generated from your behavior, not your content.
Every SaaS platform you use contributes to this. Every click, every search, every interaction monetized without your knowledge or consent. This is the economic model of centralization.
@CrabClear and similar solutions help you clean up your data from data brokers. Calimero apps collect none of it to start with.

Bee v2.8.2 is out. 🐝
This is a security-related release — all node operators should upgrade now. Technical details will be published once the majority of the network has moved to the patched version.

can't wait to release it :-)
This!!
In a client-server model, an operator sits at the center and controls access. In Swarm, chunks of data move across peers, and the protocol coordinates storage and communication without a central gatekeeper.
To participate, you run the software. You let yourself in.

It’s interesting how often seemingly opposing manifestos converge on the same ambitions:
📢 more human agency, more capacity, more coordination, more freedom. 📝
The disagreement is not over the destination, but over the machinery that supposedly gets us there.
That tension is the conceptual core of Manifesto Roulette >> DIP proposal: forum.devcon.org/t/manifesto…
WDYT? 👇
Great achievement!
Tried and tested: livestreaming can run entirely on Swarm.
We keep the broadcast standards everyone already uses (SRT/RTMP → HLS → hls.js) and replace the origin server + CDN with decentralized storage and delivery.
Live becomes archive by default. No separate recording pipeline.
Next stop: big production scale + streams served through an in-browser node. 🔥

“This nightmare will only cost you eleventy trillion dollars…”
Wild that to hear tech people speculate that the growing AI backlash is some kind of “Chinese op” when, like, “we’re taking your job and installing cameras in your toilet” is what frontier labs think marketing is…

Let’s make more room for art, cultural reflection, and uncomfortable questions about the systems we build at Devcon — and let’s do it on decentralized infrastructure.

Tell us what you think. Also, which manifesto would you want to see included in the roulette?
